Watching the Series has made me a better Catholic and watching your take has made me a better practicing Catholic. I would have never thought on my own that when the priest says "Go in Peace" at the end of the Mass he means "you've been fed and now go and bring Jesus Christ to the world that so desperately need Him." Makes going to Mass all the more special to me! Thanks and I hope that when the Series ends, you don't!

Even in this series they never got rid of the laws, only the customs of the priest

I've been watching the series and I think the story of St. Paul is what really convinced me of the truth of Christianity. How on earth could a violent, almost rabid persecutor of the Church suddenly become, arguably, its greatest apostle unless Jesus really did appear to him alive? How could someone with absolutely nothing to lose suddenly go to the ends of the known world and preach nothing but a crucified man, which must have seemed astounding to everyone since crucifixion was the most shameful and horrifying death possible for anyone in the ancient world, and then suffer so much for it unless Jesus really did rise from the dead and really did everything told about him in sacred scripture? I took St. Paul as my saint at my confirmation, and I really like the actor who is portraying him in this series. He portrays the fanaticism and the violent nature of Saul of Tarsus perfectly, but his conversion and subsequent baptism are, for me, the most moving part of the series so far.

Jason Roberts Jason, thanks for this comment - it's a great witness. I also agree about the actor who plays Saul. It reminds me of when I hear of an atheist who has a conversion or transformation and begins witnessing to the faith. So many people are interested by this person who was once actively against Christ and is now on fire for Him.
