Very interesting how the working memory with elderly people, like me, is also a problem with people with ADHD. It's almost a joke between elders how we walk into a room and forget why we went there. That really is going to be a problem for new readers. I read less, partly because of my low vision, and listen to audio books instead.

Dr Brown is one of my more favored adhd experts. Barkley is Nr 1 without any challange or anyone coming close but dr Brown sertainly stands out for me. But there are great inputs some of the time from all kinds of people. And i think the best thing is to get symbiosis and get the best from everyone and work together, because the situation with treatment and how terrible and impossible it is to get a satisfying dosage and the amount of barriers and impossible hurdles in the way even in the richest of rich countrys like the USA, Switzerland and so on is just mindblowing especially after 80 years of the main two stimulants/medications being used to treat adhd and with 8 billion people and even the science of how to play lego or random stuff being so advanced as to question if the research field of adhd is done right or if there is corruption or people sitting in positions of power that dont do anything just move the ball along and defend there salarys instead of defending society because it wont progress when halv the population is mentally ill or many enouth to disrupt the system and drive insane costs and social unrest OR the thing i guess is more likely that funding is miserable or misdirected or sesearch is done multible times in different countrys that refuse to cooperate instead of working together and be 100000000x more effitient. I dont know but im not impressed with my psychiatrists here in switzerland sadly i think they dont get the support they need or the political will is not there because adhd is laughed at and the same stereotypes from 100 years ago still rule just not in the doctors office (somethimes they absolutlely do still) but now in the heads of the most motivated voters, that try to change everything under the sun back and forth without relly caring about motivation/drive/cognition/why somethimes everything seems to work and then not and the strange mysterys of psychology. Old outdated views of evolutionary biology as well. As if the biologicas system is dominated by tigers scaring us and that being the reason for 80% of phenomenon today, when biology is so insanely complex as to justify waaaaaay more complex systems not even imaginable. Its relly sad. But im still grateful for past generations who put productivity and symbiosis higher and useless unproductive egoistic "king of the scrapheap but at least king" / dictator/royalty/king/gang/economic zumpft (its like a gang that prohibits for example fishing to only sertain idividuals as to keep the monopoly) mentaily/thingking to the backseat. Long live science, symbiosis, higher ideals and idealists. And respect to out parents and earlyer generations for finally ending the unbelivale dark and poor history before that and that still runs though our modern societys especially in poor countrys.

I totally appreciate dr Browns work. His insight has been so much helpful to gain more knowledge about ADHD and its assessment. Also, love his books, especially where he talks about ADHD and Asperger. They have been much helpful in my work. I agree that clinical interview and gathering information from school and family is essential in assessment... But i am bit amazed to hear that computerized tests are "downvoted" by Brown. Also, he keeps saying they have much false negatives or that kids are used to video games. And there is no hint on any research? Altho i find quite a lot research justifying those tests. In computer a kid can choose what to do. He isnt interested doing all things, especially boring things... and those test are boring. I have done this tests for years and i think dr Brown is not familiar what kind of information you can read from there. An interview plus a test can give a lot of valuable information together.
