A Cape in the Cape | Buffalo Hunting | John X Safaris

Спорт

John Grobe arrived as a hunter and left as a friend. That was three safaris ago. Today John is more like a family member, teaming up with his PH Clayton Fletcher annually for his "check-out" to Africa.
Africa is where John escapes to from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It is where he slows down to reconnect with nature in its purest form. It's where the sweat line on the cap grows a bit more each year as he and Clayton spend their days in pursuit of game throughout the myriad of biomes of the Eastern Cape.
This year, like the ones before, he was back for yet another adventure, but an adventure of a different nature as the guys headed out after Cape Buffalo. John chose the early season after a wet summer and boy were they spoilt for choice.

Ata boy Clayton! Great hunt. Really enjoy the natural & music sound combos on the drone shots as well. Makes it come to life!

I love what you guys do but all the drone footage does nothing but spook animals why do it Not criticising just asking

The game truly does not get bothered with the drone after a while. Even game that has never experienced a drone before will be more inquisitive than spooked when first seeing it. The benefits of sharing what the landscape looks like and bringing the viewer into the hunt/region/view is achieved wonderfully with the drone. I hope that answers you 👍

Why don’t you get a long range rifle so you don’t have to get really close? The issue with buffaloes is once they see or smell you, within seconds they run.
