And I don't know about you, but I think the reason Kieran likes Ogerpon so much is because Ogerpon was in a way, Kieran's idol. Although it was misunderstood, the fact that it battled with the Poison Three by itself for it's companion inspires the boy to get stronger, and he's frustrated in himself for not being good enough. For how Carmine didn't see her brother's struggle until later wasn't much help either. The moment where Kieran helped clear Ogerpon's name shows substantial character growth, and we might get to see more in The Indigo Disk.

That little bit Carmine mentioned about how Kieren usually hates talking to people may have been part of the reason why the villagers believed him when he told the true story. If he was willing to come out of his comfort zone to tell them the truth, then it would have to be serious enough for them to actually consider.

I really like these types of fight, like they aren’t ridiculously hard and definitely possible with a playthrough team (considering there’s only four pokemon), but the teams are actually thought out, as if it’s a midgame fight in a rom like radical red or something

The 'Loyal' Three's sub-typings basically represent brains (psychic), brawn (fighting) and beauty (fairy).

Which links with their wishes for smarts, strength and being beautiful, these guys used to be regular mons, my theory is the wishes had a monkey paw like effect, they got what they wished for, but it corrupted them into part poison types due to being possibly vain wishes.

Blood Moon seems like the textbook definition of the boss when you fight it verses the boss when it joins your party.

Fun fact about the Ogre Clan: they’re a bunch of trainers scattered around the map that have ev trained/iv bred mons, competitive items and movesets made to be as hard as possible. So I think you should make a series based on hunting them down. That seems fun (for us to watch, not for you😀) Edit: there is apparently a whole quest based on that in Mossui Town so that’s cool

I think I know how the three came back to life. The story says that ogerpon can bring plants back to life when it has the teal mask, and Kieran was holding the teal mask when he punched the three’s monument. They aren’t plants but I think it still can hold some weight.

apparently they're IV and EV trained, and really good for competitive. This alone makes me wonder if I will suffer during the Indigo Disc, considering I have a new team to train that isn't my main one that isn't level 100 -- I might have to do some training to increase everyone's stats. Even though I mostly used my main playthrough team for the DLC, switching out my Talonflame for several other mons (mainly my ridable Miraidon & Ogerpon), I might just have to do training. A LOT OF IT. Even IV and EV training, I don't know.

The first one I fought was near the beginning in a cave full of Geodude. I had brought a team of level 69s (since by the end of the main story in ScarVio your team is probably around 66-70 judging by and coz that was Sada/Turo's team levels), and I beat the trainer on my first attempt. Maybe had a few mons faint though. I was playing blind so that trainer totally caught me off guard, yet I still succeeded. I also almost wiped when fighting Ogerpon coz I expected to catch it and not defeat it 4 times and THEN catch it. But I still did it first try. With a few Max Revives.

Absolutely losing it at “I care about getting revenge on this random asshole” 😂😂

Fun fact, there are Ogre Clan trainers all over Kitakami who are all just as difficult. This dlc isn’t even the combat focused one, the next one is, so I’m terrified and excited for how tough it’s gonna be

Not tough if you're experienced. Use Volcarona and set-up. A good Dragon or even Fairy will work wonders too. To beat the Best, you have to use the best! Fan favourites like Vikavolt are mere plushies to these battle hardened mon and just won't do!

@@netweed09Not everyone uses a fully-competitive team for their playthrough of the story. Mikey specifically said that he wanted to use a team of his favourites/new Pokémon added to the DLC. Additionally, this just looks like a “hard” trainer from Paldea, meaning that you wouldn’t put much thought into fighting it initially, expecting to destroy it like every other random battle up to that point.

After the "To Be Continued" blackout, there's free cosmetics from Kieran's grandma at their house, the Caretaker up by his huge shrine has a mission that involves spending money, and a very good money grinding mission chain is attached to a white couple covered in gold, the two of which are standing between the apple fields and rice fields Edit: I saw what happened in this video and want to say: There's a mission for the Ogre Clan people!!! A dude at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the festival grounds with a yellow speech bubble gives you the mission 😁 I love your videos, I just hope you take on those Ogre Hoodlums!

The consonants are also in separate syllables in each case (so you are really only pronouncing 1 to 3 consonants at once for each syllable) rather than a blending of all 4 consonants into one sound like you would for the word schtick.

To find the Matcha pokemon in the wild, go to areas with bamboo. To find them more easily, use a ghost encounter sandwich.

As a quick notice, the Ogre Clan use competitive Pokemon; AKA they're EV trained, and most of them have held items and perfect IVs. Make sure to keep that in mind when fighting them!

XD (For those who don't know what I mean: trainers usually have the normal white text-box. But the strongest trainer in any given area will have a black text-box instead to warn you that they're powerful, and you'll be in for a hard fight.)

I really didn't like Carmine at the beginning but over the course of the story she really grew on me, I just love how extra she is. She may not be as fun as Nemona but I do hope we get some more from her in the Indigo Disk.

I love that GF put the Oger clan in the game. They all have semi competitive teams with cohesive themes and that makes them actually challenging compared to all the other trainers in the game. Was a very pleasant surprise.

The end of that conkeldurr raid was a reminder of all the raids I've lost because even though the raid boss had no HP left it just kept taking turns and the clock ran out lmao

I really want someone to give Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti the names Akainu, Kizaru, and Aokiji, respectively which are the names of the Admirals in One Piece because both sets of three are based on Momotaro's animal retainers.

I get the One Piece reference, since the Admirals are a Momotarou reference, just like the Kitakami legendaries are. Unfortunately, the colors (aka=red, ki=yellow, ao=blue) don't match. To get accurate colors, they would have to be named Ryokuinu, Aozaru, and Shikiji.

Mikey, just letting you know Mamoswine gets Icicle Crash as an egg move, so all you’d have to do is give Canyon a Mirror Herb then let it have a picnic with another Pokémon that knows it WHILE HAVING AN EMPTY MOVE SLOT. The last part is most important to remember.

I found the chilling waterhead on my own before this part in the story, and I kept hoping Mikey would find it, but he didn’t. Then I got to that fight and learned that the story leads you into it, and I was like “I can’t wait until Mikey sees this!”

the kitikami ogre clan is just a bunch of really strong trainers (basically gym leaders) and at kitikami hall there's a guy who gives you rewards for beating them

18:06 Ace trainer equivalent (stronger than normal trainers for those who don't know with higher levels, stronger pokemon, items, ect.) you could tell by their Black And Yellow textbox pre interaction

During the Fezandipiti fight, I did something that triggered Carmine to say three lines in a row. It was incredible.

Just so you know, ogerpon is 100% female. I was also surprised that fezandipiti was poison/fairy type despite it being a literal bird. This also means that they're weak to ground type moves even though they're constantly flying in the air.

Pro tip for Mamoswine- teach it icicle spear and give it the loaded dice. That you have a good ice move to use.

Watching your playthrough since Part 1 ALMOST inspired me to use a fresh squad for the DLC, but I opted to just pick 6 of my level 100 mons and toss Quick Balls at everything 😂 It's a good thing too because I started playing the DLC last night. Within the first 20 minutes, I found TWO shiny Pokemon! A Modest Growlithe & Timid Yanma! After being able to use my ride Pokemon, I opted to climb Ori Mountain to get a better view of the land. A few leaps up the mountain and I spotted the Golden Growlithe on the side of a cliff! My first capture in the DLC! Then I made my way to the lake at the top and was surrounded by a swarm of Yanma and one of them was a blue as the water! Also, I ran into one of those Ogre Mask trainers and I'm so glad I didn't use a fresh team because 2 of my level 100s were taken out in one shot because the AI was just TOO good with its move selection!

Players realizing Fezandipiti is Fairy and not Flying will always be entertaining to me

Fun fact: every nosepass you encounter is facing north I realised it when I was playing there was a group of them and I realised they just don’t move and point north

I'm 100% convinced that Conkeldurr was just showing Mikey why he should put it on the team because it's willing to fight even in death

Fun fact, 5 star sinischa raid was the unremarkable form while 6 star raid was masterpiece form . That was also not the only nightmarish ogre clan trainer . I found 3 of them so far and all of them was ridiculously strong . You might already met another one while searching ogidogi because another one was at the barrens .

There is a tablecloth side quest that I highly recommend. It sounds boring, but the reward is INSANE!

It really is incredible how many genuinely difficult battles they put in the DLC.

My whole team was all EV trained and I still struggled against the Ogre Masks. What a great challenge.

Mikey here isn’t wrong about the references the Loyal Three have. Them and Ogerpon reference the Super Sentai team Avataro Sentai Don Brothers which is also based on the story of Momotaro and the masks have a resemblance to the Don Brothers’ helmets

The Ogre Clan trainers are all around the map I’m surprised you avoided them until now they’re like bosses which is why their text was black I died to one and haven’t tried again (yet) Also on a higher level of that hole there’s a carbink cave that you missed (idk if you go back to it later in the video) Feebas can be found lower in the hole in an underground lake? Pond??

Funny thing is during the end of the titan munkidori fight you can zoom in and see it still had 0.000001 HP left

Pretty sure the Ogre clan people’s Pokémon have max EVs because some of those battles are insanely hard.

Ah yes, the stored power strategy. A fun way to destroy the 7 star raid Cinderace event that happened quite awhile ago. Good times. Also, in case you don't know, that trainer with black box in the cave is one of seven members, each one (mostly) specializing in one type, the hint to that type is in their text box when you speak with them. They're scattered across Kitakami and there is a guy next to the stairs (the entrance) of Kitakami Hall who can help you with where they are if you're interested. You'll also get unique rewards (some of said rewards are expensive in shops) for each member that you've beaten from said guy. Be warned: they are difficult to deal with.

Use Kingambit to catch the Monkey, it won't be able to do damage. Use Gliscor after getting it poisoned & giving it leftovers to catch the Dog, the double healing helps alot By "it" I mean the monkey

I'm sure it's already out there, but I believe Herba Mystica grows naturally in Kitakami. Some of the patches of flowers looked awfully colorful and reminded me of Herba Mystica. The person who brought Ogrepon may have brought over Herba Mystica from Paldea, and may have been Heath himself! HM does grow naturally in Area Zero, so wouldn't be a stretch to think that after disappearing, Heath wanted to bring the natural boosting plant to the surface. Then again, the generational gap maybe too long ago since the ancestor of Carmine/Kieran seemed like 8 generations ago, which could line up, but may be too long before that. (avg age of 25 of each parent times 8 gens is 200 years.)

@@SwawDost ooh I hadn’t thought of that. That could be a cool tie in. The plants don’t just grow living things. Considering the nutrients maybe be feeding off the Tera crystals themselves.
