A Broken Sink! | Unsellables FULL Episode | Pastor Andrea

Pastor Andrea doesn’t know why her four-bedroom brick home isn’t selling...And she’s worried because after five weeks, she hasn’t received a single offer. The conveniently located, family-friendly home is priced right…But Sofie thinks the crowded décor, amateur paint job, and rotting kitchen sink are giving potential buyers the wrong impression. The house doesn’t need a major overhaul, she says, just a simple makeover to get the listing up to viewing standard.
In order to target the home to a growing family, Sofie devises a $3,100 plan to de-clutter the house, freshen up the kitchen, and give the main floor a lived-in, sellable look. Andrea says she’s ready for a fresh start…But can Sofie convince her to let go of her nostalgia? While Anthony and the team work their magic on the interiors, Andrea gets a crash course in real estate do’s and don’ts…And once she starts seeing results, Andrea is motivated to pull out all the stops. It’s hard work…But will the project pay off in the end?

I’m feeling exactly that feeling. We’ve spent months decluttering and buckets of money updating, fixing and repairing our home for sale, and feel sad we won’t be enjoying it into the future. It is sure to sell quickly when it hits the market, so even our last days here with new countertops and fresh paint are numbered.😢

The only other thing I would have been tempted to do is open a door between dining room and the extension. Because there had been a window in that wall, the required header and Jack studs would already be in place. Let the dining room borrow light from the family room.

21:01 The tap is definitely NOT supposed to do THAT. It's still broken. It wouldn't have cost much to replace it. By today's standards, the upgrades here were super cheap and looked it. They could've replaced the kitchen cupboard doors and, given its small size, put a decent, quartz countertop in instead of that cheap looking particle board formica one. OTOH, this house would go for 1.5 million in today's frenzied market.

I have to laugh at all the posing, posturing and sitting around (whilst pretending to do some work) Sofie does. Usually hanging on a bathroom vanity, sitting on a couch wearing shoes, and/or prancing about. She does know her selling points and decor improvement; however, the "prancing" gets a little old. Plus, some of the "improvements" are what people with halfway intelligence can figure out -- especially with a rotten sink surround, rotten baseboards and clashing paint jobs.
