Absolutely! It’s crazy how far they’ve come.

God it hurts to see the tardis client mod knowing how damn cool it was and how long i waited and knowing that in the end only one barely working release ever really came out when it could have been so much more

Jeez, seeing the old TARDIM textures gave me a wave of nostalgia the likes of which I have never experienced before lol

I used to be really active on the Doctor Who Client Mod forums or the iKingsSGC, under the name 'ionsphere' if anyone from those days recalls. And it's so surreal to think that the DWCM kinda fell apart as quickly as it did. They released an alpha build that was wonky to run and alot of enthusiasm sorta dispersed, not that I blame them, I think the ambitions for the project were totally unfeasible. I'm still friends with some people from those days. Good times.

I wasn’t on KZread at the time, so I didn’t know anyone connected to it personally, but I was familiar with the project and thought it was very impressive. Absolutely ambitious as you said, so I can see where it would’ve had it’s downfall.

I remember making my first TARDIS after watching Mumbo’s TARDIS vid, I published it on KZread but since I’m still quite young and have bullies that knew about my channel, I was forced to restart and not tell anyone in my school, so now I have this account, I am making a new fresh TARDIS and I’m feeling a lot better about it since it’s gonna have newer features than last time, I also remember it being a good anchor for people playing console to try building or recreating it and I really wanna push my new TARDIS to the limits of console Minecraft and make a fully functional TARDIS for those who want a TARDIS but can’t get mods and don’t know how to make a TARDIS on their own

The SWD Team and You are two sides of the same coin did I use that right? SWD uses Minecraft as a base modifying the code to oblivion, Meanwhile you give complex but easy to follow tutorials on how to bring the TARDIS to life in Minecraft, Thank you for this evolution video.

Crazy to hear from you! Your original TARDIM map was a massive inspiration to me all those years ago. The workings were so simple yet baffled my young mind 😂. But hey, I got there in the end. Made a few tardises of my own with functionality and ideas inspired by loads over the years. Still never forgot the one that, in my opinion, started it all though!

Thank you! For a vanilla tardis, I know there are some videos out there for data packs and one-command-block creations, which simply need to have one block or file out in.

Some of the early console versions of Minecraft got some Doctor Who skin packs

@@Minirow Yeah I was actually planning on contacting Shim via the forum if maybe he is willing to re-open it for the 60th anniversary.

Very nice video but wheres your TARDIS? Your TARDIS is the only easy and hard vanilla TARDIS out there, with customisation, key features from the show and a greatly detailed map and interiors along with exteriors. The amazing thing is anyone can use these tutorials you make.
