I've always found the art style interesting. Even in the games initial art style it still had a sort of cartoony feel to it. For example, if you look at the door frames and the exterior of the wardrobe they aren't perfect lines. The fridge is another good example with it's width expanding towards the top. And something interesting with the full release's art style is everything looks as if it was painted. If you were to look at any texture you would see drops of paint scattered all over. Even the trees look like they were sloppily painted. And as for Hello Neighbor 2, it looks like it takes the color and some of the wonkiness from the first game's style but removed the paint appearance.

I agree, I always prefered environment in old style and items in mixed style. Too bad they didn't use that

if you compare the HN final artstyle and this new, clean one that HN2 has, the difference is shocking.

I liked the e3 hn2 art style the most, sad they changed it again in the final game.

It's not a game, but you should check out the animated series. I think it has a pretty good art style, it approximates a little closer to the horror theme too, because ironically, the animated series is darker than the games.

Very underrated and good video. I honestly think they should stop with cartoony style in Alpha 2, it was perfect mix.

Im not a big fan of the old art style of hello neighbor but it looks good

the neighbor inst innocent, he kidnaps Nicky aka the player, he kidnaps his son, he steals items from an amusement park that belong to the city of Raven brooks, so no he's not innocent. but this video does a great job at depicting the history in a good way (Btw the info above about the neighbors crimes are straight from the cannon book series)

I like the custom art style, where mods use custom assets in the HN1 Art style.

Honestly pre reboot HN2 art style is what I feel what HN1 should’ve been although HN1 is a little more iconic to me.

My favourite is definitely Hello Neighbor 2s and my least favourite is the early HN2 artstyle. It just looks too messy imo

imo prototype has the best art style of the entire franchise, with realistic design and 100% orange skies

In my opinion the realistic real life looking graphics in prototype since hn2 is good but it's to buggy and weird to be fun

@@jazboii Not sure what the issue with the art style is, they said in one of the first developer posts (I think) that the game will develop its own art style over time. They also never intended it to be horror, they said it was always meant to be more of a thriller game.
