    Suicide were one of No Wave's precursors and inspirations. Active since the early 70's

    Great job but no wave and the downtown scene was already around by 73/74, and it lasted well into the mid 80s.

    @@jade_is_tired Yeah, I didn't really mean that as a criticism of the music. I think a lot of it is awesome. They do something with music that you usually only see in plastic media like sculpture. The format of the piece is part of the message.
