I had heard of it, and thought that the name was funny, but I never really knew what it meant.
Suicide were one of No Wave's precursors and inspirations. Active since the early 70's
No wave ia a pretty interesting genre. Cool video

Interesting stuff, not something you’d listen to casually, but it’s good to crank that shit up once in a while when you feel like it.

Great job but no wave and the downtown scene was already around by 73/74, and it lasted well into the mid 80s.

He actually released a third studio album back in 2016

He passes away at 71 on June 19th, 2024
This music is completely useless. It's been deprived of its natural purpose. Just like people.

@@jade_is_tired Yeah, I didn't really mean that as a criticism of the music. I think a lot of it is awesome. They do something with music that you usually only see in plastic media like sculpture. The format of the piece is part of the message.
