    The artwork is absolutely gorgeous, but the fashions... They're very overcrowded and busy, and also feel outdated. The fashion packs are somewhat better, especially the first one. I also think the faces look flat in the eyes, they don't have any bulge in the mold.

    Yeah, I do think that they are pretty, but unfortunately the first impression was "overstimulation". Just looking at the multitude of colours, prints, patterns, all the accesories, it was simply uncomfortable. The whole time I couldn't look past how busy the outfits are. It's a shame, really. Better than boring and plain, but not by much. I would definitely take off most of the accesories, and find some plainer clothes for them. I think, that the artwork itself is very good, the artist is talented, but it just doesn't translate well into 3D.

    The Dolls are cute, and the Fashions look well-made. But... for a Fashion Focused Doll Line, the Fashion looks bad. It looks like what a Disney Chanel or Nickelodeon Show would have as High Fashion. Just a Bunch of Crazy Pattern and Random Stuff put together.

    thinking the same thing, in what world are these looks fashionable? i cant imagine any kid of 2024 would see those and go "wow! the outfits!" which is a problem considering there actually are fashionable dolls on the market. if they werent going to put effort into the outfit designs then dont make them fashion focused.

    @@ann3923 OF COURSE they can criticize, BUT we have to have a sense of what is happening around us and what moment we are in for our complaint to make SENSE. 👀 Are companies TODAY making dolls with REALLY FASHIONABLE AND MODERN clothes? so we can criticize when one doesn't do it? If the answer was YES, Okay 👍, a criticism is relevant, BUT if NO, it is not relevant (and we are right now in the NO moment) because today NO doll company is committed to REAL FASHION dolls 🤷🏻‍♂️ (they had the rainbow high ones BUT now not even them more) so complaining about one more is like complaining about a "useless problem" like complaining that in a supermarket in the water section there is a bottle of H2O in the middle 🤡. If we were full of dolls everywhere, all with quality and fashionable and modern clothes, it would be RELEVANT to complain when one appears with "non-fashionable clothes" BUT WE ARE NOT AT THAT MOMENT, they are all leaving something to be desired and STILL have the negative factor of lack of quality 🥴 , so it's irrelevant to complain about a new one just because it doesn't suit your personal fashion taste, instead of complaining it's better to be grateful and do whatever you can... to mix the pieces and create beautiful looks that are fashionable for YOU🙏, because the pieces themselves are beautiful and WELL MADE, all you need to do is create new looks with the pieces 🙌❤🙌

Would be interested to see how this line evolves if this launch does well when it hits store shelves. I could see those who customize dolls being all over these given how much poseability these have.

    I am totally in love with L U V dolls 💕💕💕. I have dreamt of having a line of dolls that do not have exaggerated facial features and heads. This day dream of mine started when the dolls came out with exaggerated features. But as a little girl I wanted dolls that the facial features were different from each other just like real people. Also I wanted some dolls that were shorter just like me. I wanted different skin colors too. Bendable arms and legs. Over the years most of these were possible in different dolls. Now here is the L U V line of dolls doing it ALL😀💖. I'm so EXCITED 😆😊🎉. I just hope that some day I'll be ayto afford one. Or be given one as a gift. My favorite ones are Brook and Harper. They represent me the most. Except that I have red wavy hair. Thank you for sharing 😊.

    It's always interesting to me to see how different doll fashion looks in the drawings on the packaging versus how it translated into the actual articles of clothing. I think it looks really good in the illustrations but I think there are some moments that just feel like a lot when it's translated into the actual doll clothing but I think they made pretty good effort to match the illustrations. And the illustrations don't look like doll clothes. They look like something I could probably see in public.

    Removing jibbers: if there is anything better than the cat claw trimmers (available at dollar tree) for safely removing them, I haven't found it. Look in the pet section. They're little scissors, but the blades are hook shape to go around a round claw. Very easy to hook around the jibbers. The dolls - especially the Boho one - remind me of my mom saying, "you don't have to wear them all at once." It's really a shame that everything isn't separates, as I love the idea of being able to give a child a single doll and them still having enough things in the package to play around, create, and style it their own way. You can't tell me Harper isn't Disney-bounding lol. People mix metal colors often, so while I appreciate that they put thought into it, maybe do the next wave with silver. I personally prefer silver with black, purple, neon green, so the gold just didn't look right to me. The individual sculpts, skin tones, hair styles, and body types blew my mind. A lot of the fabrics seemed sheer and that worries me. Back in the 70s, a lot of the doll clothes were lacy/sheer, and even with snaps instead of velcro, they frequently shredded. Hopefully these are more sturdy than those, as I do love how the thinner fabrics look.

    Yeah, its a pass for me, same price as a McFarlane figure that is larger and from what I can tell, has more articulation, stiffer joints and can dynamically pose. $20 more and I can buy one of the giant boxed spawn figures that come with even more accessories. Even doll for doll I could buy rainbow high for $5 less and the only drawback personally is that the feet aren't articulated on RH. While I enjoy the articulation they gave it, I'm going hard pass on these.

    I wish that dolls would have feet that can go flat. Like these girls, the feet move, but they don’t go flat. They’re still curled. It would be nice to be able to give a doll flats and sneakers (I don’t mean the wedge shaped sneakers) as well as heels.

  • @KelliConan

    @KelliConan

    Ай бұрын

    @@nekoboygames7786 Nah. The foot itself is still curved when she moves the foot into not being on the tippy toes. It would be cool to be able to move the toes, but the foot should be able to move so that the arch is flat for flat shoes and not arched like it’s arched for heeled shaped shoes. That’s why most companies don’t let the foot itself move ‘cause there’s no point ‘cause that arch curve is still gonna be there. Some allow a little bit of movement so that some heeled shoes are easier to put on if the foot can bend a little bit. So there’s no point in these doll’s feet (not toes) being able to move into a flat position if the arch used to make the feet the fit in heels can’t be flattened. That’s what I mean with my original comment how it could be nice to have different looking shoes that aren’t just heeled or wedge looking sneakers.

    @@KelliConan I ment how you wish doll feet was articulated. With a toe joint, the foot would look more flat. Not these dolls. They only have the usual ankel joint. Action figures have toe joints so they can make more poses. I think some even have 2 joints per foot. One for the toes and one for the heel. But that kind is more for drawing.

  • @KelliConan

    @KelliConan

    Ай бұрын

    @@nekoboygames7786 I understand what these ones have. I’m saying that the joints should be made with a way to change the arch of the foot or have it flat for flat soled shoes and the toes can move to be on the tippy toes so the feet can also fit heels. That’s why everyone of the arched foot dolls that have an ankle joint that that can move the ankle to a flat position with the arch for heels still in there look weird or creepy. So i.m.o., there’s no reason to have an ankle joint able to move that much just to end up looking like what these dolls and others look like when they’re not on their tippy toes.

  • @bleehh

    @bleehh

    23 күн бұрын

    @KelliConan I think you didn't fully understand what the other person meant. They suggested a toe joint, meaning the bottom uf the foot would be flat and not arched so they can fit sneakers but with the additional joint at the toe, you could still prop them up to fit heels. So exactly what you want. This can already be found in action figures, like @nekoboygames7786 already said. So we know it's possible and it could be incorporated into these (or any other) dolls.

    Hello, Jen. What would be the best way to support you, monetary?

    I used to have Patreon but chose to stop it for now since I have a lot happening and didn't have time to deliver what I promised. Currently the best way to support me would be to watch and interact with my content and share it with friends. That's the most important for me 😊 I appreciate it so much. If for some reason you would still like to help contribute to my content, I have a merch store and did design the images myself and my husband brought them to life. I am so in love with my new retro design an no one's bought it yet lol. So merch is a great option for sure and lastly I believe we are adding memberships to my channel soon if my husband hasn't done so already. But just commenting here as you have done is so much more appreciated and already helpful ☺️😁

    I'll be honest. These dolls are not my vibe. The fashion specifically. I do not like any of the clothes. I wish they had chosen alt/street fashion. From my perspective, I don’t see enough dolls with different skin tones in alt fashion. Give me a goth black doll. Or a lolita Muslim doll. That's why I don’t like Channel's, from shadow high, clothing. It's not alt enough.

    The doll are very pretty and cool, but I don’t want to call them inclusive. Yes they have a dark skinned girl with Afro-puff ponies. They have an average weight white girl, but they dropped the ball after that. Why didn’t the totally commit with an Asian doll, or and Indian doll? They just kind of glossed over the last two ethnicities. They really could have knocked it out of the park with 4 truly identifiable ethnic dolls in great fashion. Come on! It’s 2024! Get over yourselves and do it right! Not you Jen, you’re great.

    ALL doll brands/companies TODAY have dolls with MORE quality than Barbie...this is SO SHAMEFUL FOR MATTEL. The mother of all dolls losing in EVERYTHING to ALL competitors...NO other doll from any company has pixelated faces like the current barbies...what a shame Mattel, WHAT A SHAME.

    Absolutely not 10/10. They are a 3/10, at best. The sewn together pieces was a choice. The chunky plastic jewelry was a choice. The big empty box was a choice. The price point on both the doll and the clothing was a choice. The fact that the clothing doesn't fit well established fashion doll lines was a choice. I absolutely dress my Integrity Toys dolls in Disney ILY 4Ever and Naturalistas fashion packs. I won't be doing that with L.U.V. fashion packs because I literally CAN'T. Choices!

    I can see this being the next big doll line. But for me, the faces do not look anime-ish enough for me. I like anime-eye looking dolls, like RH.

    I really love these dolls. I was a little put off by the price when I first saw the promos for them, but I definitely think they're worth saving up for now. I hope they continue with the fashion pack releases, because it's super annoying having to pay a premium for an outfit that comes with a doll you already have. And having unique body types while retaining clothes compatibility with all of them is absolutely amazing. ❤❤❤
