I'm so glad you guys have spent the season focused on Oregon. It's this type of action that drew me in so many years ago. Grassroots BRO, Grassroots
Thank you for showing the truth of Archery hunting these great creatures for those of us who haven't had the shot go as planned it really helps knowing it's not just us that it happens to.
Trent thank you so much for your prayer before your hunts. You have no idea how many people you are reaching this way. If we could all just spend a moment on our hunts , and ponder what we see . It is just not an accident. It is a creation from God . How much are we loved by him to be able to enjoy it. Arise, kill, and eat. Thank you Lord . Thank you Trent for making this a part of the message of who you guys are.
Just really had to say this, y'all seem Soo relaxed in this year of LOF! I don't know, maybe it's the relief of being closer to home. Staying in your home state and reducing the driving miles, whatever it is, it's showing in everyone's spirits. 😁
I made a horrible shot this year on my first archery elk hunt. I practiced daily. Got in shape. Listened to any knowledge that was given or found. When the moment came everything left my mind and I forgot to stop him. My shot was back. It was an agonizing wait before picking up the trail. When we did there was only a couple of drops of blood. His racks were easy to follow. He went straight down hill to a three stand but didn’t jump it. We stood there working out the track and started along the fence line. Two steps in my buddy said there’s your bull. He only went 30 more yards. The lord blessed me that day. Thank you guys for all the wisdom you pass on to us.

Congrats on your hard earned bull!
Even had he put the arrow just behind the shoulder it would have been headed for guts at that angle... Very lucky if it caught some liver on the way. these guys have been hunting forever and every year they post one of them taking the same quartering to shot and the arrow sticks in the shoulder with little penetration.. Then they say "these are the highs and lows of hunting"... Not nearly as many lows if you take good shots

S Rogers..... You weren't there, so stop trying to be the all knowing know it all. A lot of factors come into play on these type of scenarios, and I'm sure you don't know all the factors involved, in this particular instance.

@@mervjb809 I dont know... Seems like I was there with that HD film... Maybe his release failed while at full draw? Or maybe...Just maybe...He took a stupid shot. Im not saying hes not a good guy. Im saying he took sent an arrow at a huge animal with huge bones at a terribly low percentage angle for a clean kill... Am I wrong?

This has been a great season with great content! Trent! Review , learn. review, learn and review! On learning, I always have a small pump sprayer bottle of hydrogen peroxide. When the tracking gets tough, even a very small drop (like a pinhead) will foam up. Invaluable when the tracks get mixed, or possible blood in a track. Keep your heads up!
Bummer. Love how you stick together and support the shooter when something like this happens.
I'm so glad you went back to the roots. This season is why I stay watching. You guys seem less stressed and enjoying the hunt more. Remember sometimes smaller is better. Thankyou you guy for everything you and your family give for us
By far my favorite channel for watching elk hunting🔥🔥
Not often I ever comment on a video but a huge step up in music from previous years. Nice and peaceful matches the scenery!
Make Trent’s saying a shirt. Hunt hard laugh easy. Number one seller. Shirt of the month
Thank you for showing everyone the misses and unlucky shots. It happens to all of us. This is truly reality hunting.
I’m loving watching the original team hunting their home state and taking some big bulls. In the wise man’s own words “ Hunt hard and laugh easy!!! “
That bull was basically a frontal shot. Certainly wasn't close to broadside.. doesn't look like it hit shoulder blade from where the arrows sitting it's bottom of chest behind line of leg possibly deflected of leg bone..
That’s a bummer but what a hunt, right!?? That Bull just stood and looked for y’all for what I’m sure, seemed like an eternity! Just a fraction of an inch, is all it is some times! Hope you get another shot at one Strand!!
Bummer, but on a good note, I love that you guys are hunting Oregon, full circle.. God bless. Much respect and love
So Trent and Kody had me literally laughing with the stuff you guys come up with. Too bad Strands shot didn't miss that blade though.. great video
I absolutely love that you guys put out the content that you do. Real hunting, genuine people, and awesome friendships. Bummer about the blade hit, but it happens, not that we ever want it to, but it's part of hunting. Thank you guys for letting us come along on your journey's!
It’s the way it goes in Rosie country. Thanks for posting the disappointing along with the joyous.
Glad you guys show the whole story... You could tell by the way the arrow vibrated after the hit that the broadhead was stuck in bone. That bull is still alive.
Thank you for showing it only the good but the low moments as well!!!
Great video guys. That's part of bow hunting we all dread times like this but it sure happens. Thanks for sharing your hunt with me.
Looked like a shoulder glance into the brisket to me…that bull will live to procreate!!!!
Way to shake it off Stranzy, stay positive and you'll be tagging out. Words of encouragement from a great group of guys is sure nice to see. Love the videos ,Thursday couldn't come fast enough .👍
The Old Four Fingered Dutchman! Glad there was some context to that name! :) Like so many others, I love seeing you guys spend so much time in Oregon, and I love watching you hunt Roosevelts. Tough luck on that shot. I appreciate that you guys show it all - the good and the bad. When something like that happens, it so important to have friends who help get your head back in the game. Looking forward to the next episode.
That country puts a capital T in the word THICK. Tough luck but you will live to hunt another day and the bull will live to be hunted another day...Keep on grinding guys!!! Love this stuff and the way you bring it!!!!!
Anyone else (bornnraised boys also) get a good laugh at Cody's .75 Tom Selleck mustache made out of his face paint 😄?? Great video!! Thanks guys! I love the video.
Give you guys alot of credit. Staying motivated for the whole season can't be easy. But I'd bet with crew you have it makes it easier to stay motivated. Another great hunt, I agree that bull is fine.
Man that sucks had a hit similar to that a few years ago and tracked him for 500 yards and then blood completely stopped and was never able to find him...that feeling sucks!! Head up and keep after it knowing he will be just fine...them animals are SO FREAKING tough!! Lessons for the future....
Great hunt guys! Game of inches. Always look forward to seeing ya'll in the woods! Love ya'll ❤
It’s all part of hunting , I’m glad you show it ,, ups and downs,,, sometimes sideways lol we all learn every episode !
Oregon, Love it. Looking forward to the Oregon hunters Love your video's. Keep up the good work.
Wounding any animal sucks but it happens to everyone if you hunt long enough you just have to learn from your mistakes and exhaust every effort to find them and stay Positive. Love your videos can't wait for Thursday.
Another great video, that bull will be ok. The Strand man shows that he actually cares , good guy for sure👍🏼
Awesome footage as usual guys. Thanks for sharing. Glad you guys show it all. I don’t feel as bad now because that’s how my archery season went this year. I also had a bad shoulder shot. Sux but it looks like the bull will survive it. Thanks again 🔥🏹👊🏽
Super excited for another episode, let's go call some in
That bull seemed to really take his time coming in. Your patience is admirable and unfortunately everyone that bowhunts has highs and lows. I love how you always open in a prayer. I do the same with my boys when we are out hunting and especially after the harvest. I will be sending you a "bike crossing" shirt when I am done with them. I bought them out from you guys. Think of it as a BRO and FATBIKEHUNTER collaboration project. Now I just need to talk you guys into coming to central WA for a spike! LOL
There is no better quarterback for an elk team than Trent. This dude is the glue.
Tough luck man, hope you get that next one! Awesome video again guys, never a disappointment here, God Bless you all
Tough break. Keep your head up. Bow hunting is a tough sport and there will be more opportunities!! I am looking forward to the next episode for you guys sure do put out some genuine videos that are awesome to watch!
We have all been there before. That’s part of hunting. That bull went in with his day. Great video.
I did similar on my elk hunt. Day 12, ran at bugling bull using a big pine as cover. When he stepped out at 20 yards he looked at me but I didn’t see him shift his shoulder as he turned towards me. Thought he was broadside. Shoulder hit and I’m still not over it…☹️
Hey it happens, bow, rifle ect. You guys are awesome !!
Sad to see that shot, I have found 2 elk dead 1 shot in the elbow at a steep up hill shot died of infection 1 shot in the shoulder blade also died of infection. It's hard to pass on shots when you aren't finding animals.
It happens to the best of us... Great video thanks for sharing!
Thanks for keeping the videos going. Hard sometimes to keep the drive going.
Kodys face paint is on point. 😂 You guys should sell BRO face paint with a diagram on how to create some of your face paint masterpieces! I’d buy it.
Awesome show.
Great content guys! It would be easy to say pass on that shot, but I wasn't there and it's impossible to see Eric's view, so good on ya, and that's hunting. 👍🏻👍🏻
love the handlebar stash kody, you need a first lite sherpa lined denim coat lol
I enjoy watching you guy's. Not to wish bad luck on anyone, but I glad to see that the pro's struggle like us amateurs. Lol but luck next time. 🙏
Happy Thanksgiving to the Born and Raised crew! The only thing missing so far this season is all the valuable PRO TIPS!!! LOL
That sucks was so hoping he would get it great video though great lesson looking forward to the next one I know he will get his elk
So much work to be a few inches off. Man I feel for you guys.
That sucks! I'm sorry you went thro that. But glad it worked out
Yeah sure, he’ll be ok. Poor bugger will be hurtin for months though. Sad to see
Tough break boys, but I know you'll keep hitting it hard and I can't wait to see what's next.
Bummer for Strand but that is hunting. That bull just wanted to get bigger for Strand to kill him next year. Keep your heads up and keep up the good and hard work.
Keep your head up.
My guess is 1316 on Stands time to tag out... the magical hours of BRO...
Been waiting for another 🔥
That's why they call it hunting guy's, yeah it really sucks Man but what you going to do? Awesome video
Tough break Strand I feel for you. Good luck the rest of the way.
Tough miss, wish the outcome would have been better, but you can't buy experience. Sweet hunt, keep on keeping on. God bless.
I was coming up hwy 1 , just left California and Oregon.... was watching a herd of elk on my left and put my Harley in a Ditch. Just was not expecting to see a herd in May.
Keep on keepin on strand!
Rough outcome to a great hunt. It’s never fun knowing you hurt an animal. But all bowhunters will have some story. If your gonna miss that’s one of the best spots to hit
Shots like that happen you guys are pros and it happens bull is fine get back on horse
Tough stuff, happens to all hunter.
Sold me on the opening prayer. How'd I miss you guys this long? Thanks to Hunting Public, I found you. Subscribe. Now, to watch your videos! God bless!
What was the arrow setup? Curious, been watching ranch fairy channel with the Dr. Ashby high FOC/heavy arrow builds.

Yeah be nice to see what these Guys use, "The Hunting Public" always fill us in on their Bow Specs , arrows etc.
I had a day like that this yr. Opening morning jumping a log 20yrds I hit nomans land high! Tracked blood for 150yrds it stopped, I continued to track 8 hrs. The bull had a sore spot for a few but will make it another yr if he stayed away from hunters! Back on the horse the next day
12:19 why I always pack some heat, pack a gun, just a little bit, pack some heat, Hunt the elk, hunt the land... ? Hunt Hard.
Mio is great stuff if you were a kool-aid kid growing up, but grew up into a caffeine fueled machine like most adults. It's the best of both world! And you can make that as concentrated as you want!
Shots fired 145
CSB classic shoulder blade. It sucks. Been there done that. Praying for peace of mind for Strand.
Kody looks like he is channeling Kirk Lazarus from Tropic Thunder!
Hunt hard laugh easy! 😂💯
Sorry Strands, keep trying! Happy Thanksgiving and here you are again 💝. JO JO IN VT 💕😄
I thought about an 💡 idea. What if y’all did this one year stay in your state and hunt but help young hunters experience there first bull? Y’all have the best guy funny and dang good at hunting I just like to see ppl give back and y’all hunting in a past video with the young guys y’all sure made there day. I mean hell I’ve never hunted elk but dam if I could just hang out I would but TN ant got much. Keep on being y’all. Love y’all and good luck 🍀👍🏼
Sometimes I get the impression that Trent forgets his hunting boots. I’m pretty sure I saw tennis shoes. 👟
That's when you say crap. Keep the heads held high.
One of ya'll just drove past me in gresham . White ram 1500 .
Thanx
I know the feeling shoulder bladed a bull in montana this past season
Keep doing what you’re doing!! You guys bring a great light to the life of hunting!! Nothing like it!!
well to me looked like a low stomach hit . he s going a long way.
when a Plan A arrow meets Plan B
1253pm. Mid-day madness
Roller-coaster ride but be strong and move on.
Hell I thought this was land of free 5.0 since it’s been awhile 🤣😂 just giving y’all some shit. Love y’all and good luck keep the vibe up

@@bornandraisedoutdoors love y’all never been able to hunt elk but love to watch y’all great group of guys
Cody looks like a rodeo clown, great video guys love it...
well that sucks the big one but at least he wasnt fatally wounded. what was he shooting for broadhead and arrow weight ?
That is part bowhunting. Nobody likes it but it does happen. Elk are extremely tough animals. That bull will live to bugle another day. I had a 5X5 that I thought I hit great (more penetration than the double lung 5X6 recovered in 2020), heard ribs crack. Watched it lay down 3 times in three hours only to get back up. Could not get in for another shot. It wandered off finally and we lost it. A friend had it on trail cam 2.5 miles away 41 hours after the shot. I had him on another camera chasing a cow 11 days after the hit (saw the mark on his side), four days after that another friend saw him in their pasture with 12 cows. Keep your chin up and keep going
We had a couple of those shots this season in our group. Horrible feeling 😔
I have a question for Trent Fisher ? The holster that you have underneath your Bino case where did you get that and what’s it called? Thank you sir
