A "BORING" BARN VLOG: Pony Updates and Why Simplicity is Key
Howdy friends! Long time no video. I fully intended on having one up before now, but I've been too busy enjoying life to get the edits together! Thankfully, from this one forward I should be much more consistent for the rest of the summer. I'm currently in the mountains in Alberta enjoying my first vacation in nearly 4 years so I've been living in the moment. See you soon!

ABOUT US:
Me: Hi! I’m Kaitlyn, a 27-year-old lifelong passionate equestrian. I have a normal 9-5 that I balance with life and having two horses (one mine, one not mine) in work.
Merlin: my pride and joy, a 2019 bay GOV (Oldenburg) gelding with a goofy personality and lots of potential. I started him gently under saddle in 2022.
Eve: a 2017 bay OTTB mare who is sweet as candy. I’ve been working with her full time since July of 2022 and am retraining her both in dressage and over fences. She is not mine, but I love her like she’s my own.
Safi: a 2005 Arabian mare who I’ve known (and loved) for years. I used to ride her in 2019/2020 when she first arrived, but she has some trauma in her past and found riding really aversive, so has just been chilling since. I’ve been consistently working with her using +R since November 2022.
Bingley: the sweetest boy, my 3-year-old tricolour Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He is goofy and absolutely chaotic.

Thank you so much Sara! I’m so thrilled with how he is coming along. Onwards and upwards but we do have our moments where it feels like it’s going backwards - just part of the journey 😁
Nice vlog! Merlin is so cute with the stick in his mouth. It is so nice to hear that he has gone from lazy to more energetic. I hope that can happen for my youngster as well (if things ever resolve and I can start doing something with her again).

Thank you! 🥰 and yeah I’ve definitely been surprised with how much more energetic he’s gotten this year since he grew into himself more. It’s taken a bit to get used to, but I’m really appreciative of it now. I wasn’t so appreciative of it in the spring when I was bringing him back into work after his winter off and he was ✨spicy✨, but it was definitely good for a giggle 🥰
