I am the original owner of a 1994 Trooper LS w/ 3.2 L DOHC. It has every single factory option available for that model year which means leather interior, huge moon roof, heated seats, etc...even has the headlight washer/wipers. Only 156K miles and going strong. Has been camping in deserts, climbing mountains and handling winter challenges. Other vehicles are just catching up in terms of features and handling.

I have a 94 Bighorn Lotus (JDM model I live in New Zealand) She's got 340,000 km on it, as yours it had the 6VD1 Dohc V6, but it also has the factory heated Recaro fishnet bucket seats, it's awesome!

This car is still so beautiful and it doesn't look outdated.

This Trooper and the VehiCROSS are my FAV Isuzus.

I got a 1992 bighorn 3.1 which I bought in 2002 as a Japan surplus and it's really an indestructible SUV. To paraphrase Scotty Kilmer " it still runs like a clock." By the way I'm here in the Philippines.

So good there was a rebranded version as the Acura SLX. A timeless SUV design.

I've just bought a 93 model, in this part of the world the Trooper is called the Bighorn and mine has a floor shift with 5 speed gearbox and the 3.1 diesel engine, I'm looking forward to some great camping trips and transforming it into a cool bug out vehicle

I have a 1993 Isuzu Trooper Best off road vehicle ever in my opinion.

Thanks for the video. I learned a lot about my Trooper even though I have had it since 1993. I have always treasured it as a superior vehicle. Too bad that Isuzu allowed Consumer Reports bully them out of the U.S. market with a flawed safety test model. The only problem with the Trooper is finding parts. I plan to keep mine forever. Best SUV ever made. Based on this video I can see why.

I have one and can truly say is it's the best SUV I've driven.

After owning 3 of the second generation Troopers over the past 20 years, I've concluded that there is no better suv as solidly built, practical and dependable as the Trooper. The truck simply gets no respect. For the money, hands down, the best out there, rivaling the 4runner and Pathfinder, Jeeps are fine, but they feel like a bucket of bolts in this era compared to the Trooper. I currently drive a 1999 Acura SLX. It's different, and people don't know what it is.

I think Consumers Reports threw that ball to make that Trooper swerve! Great video, my next vehicle for the apocalypse is definitely a Trooper. Hopefully, I can keep my Rodeo too as I keep reassuring it that it stays.

That's the best decision I ever had to get myself an Izuzu Trooper and still use it to this day and I'm always wondered why they stopped making it.The best SUV ever.

It is now the mux, basically a dMax SUV. Budget price and basic stuff. Does the job.

Owned a 1992 Isuzu Trooper from 2004 to 2008 and I never knew about this hidden compartment!

Hey...I found a 92 trooper with only 76,000 miles ..I have the car fax...can you tell me if there were alot issues with yours

Designed and engineered from 1986 to 1991, very much a product of the Japanese Asset Bubble. The second generation Montero SR, this Trooper, and the 80-Series were dramatic redesigns.

still see plenty on the road in uk so they last well and they have not been rebuilt 3 times like most landrovers the same age.

Have had a trooper LWB 3.1 TD since 2003 with 123,000 miles and the most reliable vehicle I have owned in my 40 years driving experience. It is the most value for money of all vehicle I have driven and owned. The vehicle is yet to breakdown since 2003 and the reason for Not going for a Land Rover which has a very poor record of reliability.

too bad.. they should continue making this troopers..

The use of the GM 4L30-e automatic, in nearly every trooper after 1992 was the #1 bad thing they did. The #2 was there amazing diesels did not come to north America, in any way shape or form after 1987 that was also a staggeringly pore choice.
