"I don't want to bring another culture of child into this world when I cannot help them to discover it". Hey, I fully understand and I can see you really thought this through for the child's sake. I doubt a lot of people consider this. Respect. Best wishes to you. ✌

I think it's wild they're making you wait a year. I have my surgery Monday and my doctor said I can do a transfer in 3 months minimum. He said they usually say 3-6 months, and they've seen no issues with women starting at 3 months post surgery.

Definitely smart to have checked your fertility and come up with a great game plan. I’m also a Choice mom and been trying since 2017. One egg was retrieved, embryo transferred at day 3, unfortunately miscarried. After some soul searching am now going the route of donor egg IVF. Wishing you so much luck with your journey and hoping all went well with your surgery.

I talked to a friend about your choice, her and I are both single parents, not by choice and she reminded me of the advice I gave her years ago. I told her well think of the benefit when you say No as Mom the child has no one to plead their case with LOL!

Carrying and retrievals are 2 different things. Is the Dr. onboard with a timeline to at least begin Retrieving eggs and making embryos?

I'm so glad you are being open about all this. Shouldn't be taboo. Our vaginas and reproductive system shouldn't be a region we don't understand.

Hey Wah, I just wanted to clarify a misconception you've mentioned in several videos. You talk about egg production but human women don't produce eggs throughout our lifetime. We're born with about a million eggs and we lose them over time. Of course through ovulation as at least one egg is released each month once we reach puberty, and other eggs just die out. What happens when we get older is that we just don't have many healthy eggs left, and eventually none left at all. To make a reference to 90df, Angela was told by the Nigerian doctor that she had one egg left, but an old and misshapen one that wouldn't lead to a healthy pregnancy. Anyways, maybe you already know this, but I think it's important to clarify for you and whoever watches. Understanding that we can't actually produce eggs impacts how we think about fertility. I learned this in school but I know everyone didn't get the full memo or may not remember. I have friends who didn't know this. Surprising that doctors didn't explain it to you either. I've been watching your recaps for a long time and also enjoyed hearing small bits about your dating life and plans for motherhood. Best of luck with your current journey!

Hey Wah, we miss you but we are glad you are doing well (based on your insta stories) 😘❤️ Wishing you a speedy recovery. In terms of homeopathic remedies, did you ever look into 1) Hemp seed oil as a daily supplement and also 2)bcastor oil packs (that you apply topically to your abdomen. These 2 I've heard could work for you in terms of your remaining fibroids ❤️

I’m not sure what the tea is that you tried but there is one called the Tea of Life (semi-contra) patented product. It does not taste good at all. It is available in capsules though.

Here's what I'm wondering.. we know that fibroids are affected by hormones so I'm confused as to why the doctor wanted to initially go with the Mirena? Was the focus less on fibroid size and more on controlling the heavy periods at that point? As an ultrasound tech, I know that depending on the size/number of fibroids the doc may or not go with a hormonal IUD for heavy periods. All that being said, I'm wishing you the best of luck and thank you for sharing your story in such a well-informed, practical way. 💜

I didn't get pregnant until I turned 30, before that I was in a common law marriage with a non melanin man, that produced no children, matter how much we tried, I started dating at 14 and no other male in my life could achieve pregnancy (they where all non black men), the only donor that took and produced our son, was indeed a black donor with a high sperm count in the 30th year of my life. we had so much fun making KAI' 🥰🤴🏿
