Or he should have not shot his kids. Why is everyone putting all the blame on the mother? She was probably under his control, abuse causes damage to the brain where people do things that seem unthinkable and there's no way a sociopath like him wasn't abusive towards his partners. Even if she actually did do it all of her own volition, she didn't pull the trigger, she didn't do the other crimes that got him in trouble in the first place and she didn't break out of prison, he did.

Law enforcement is statistically proven to be more hyped up, more anxious ,more willing to use deadly force against African-American suspects. Initially, they thought the white stripper and her boyfriend, may have known/participated in/ about the bank robbery, yet they approached her house, calmly, nicely, politely at first, and there wasn't any heavy armed surveillance. the FBI just kind of busted in the door, AFTER repeatedly knocking!!!!, THEN just went on in, and yet Tim is immediately surrounded by a SWAT like team before he even got in the door. Why couldn't they let him get out of the car and swarm him, (on initial contact?) Later, the FBI's anxiousness, caused those babies to get killed. Their so called Dad did the unconscionable deed, so ultimately, that evil is on him ,but I'm just saying..... 🥴

You were expecting chivalry and character from a guy who robs banks? I think I would expect that a guy who is willing to support his family as a driver or mechanic, etc. and not take the money that people spent hours upon hours earning to be more likely to have concern for his children also. Being a brutal bank robber is not often associated with empathy, loyalty, compassion, etc..

I support law enforce work but I can't stop feeling that alerting the suspect was a really bad call. They gave away the element of surprise and place the children in danger. That was very poor FBI work. I cannot expect common sense of two criminals parents, but I expect an FBI agent to visualize possible outcomes. Even in the movies an actor is smart enough to see what's coming. This FBI agent should be serving coffee to real agents.

I think if we use hindsight and the situation was approached differently, everyone could have been saved. But in the end, the police and SWAT team followed established procedures - procedures that are reasonable - and ultimately it didn't work out because it turned out the guy had the kids in the room and that he had murderous intent for his family in this scenario. The police were not reckless in any way. The wife was. The children are victims that were stuck with horrible parents. The husband and wife were both criminals. The police were probably not even negligent here - I think it's hard for us to know otherwise.

The FBI messed up and could of gained entry when the hotel security officer was knocking on doors and Blackburns wife opened up theirs, and that was the perfect time to gain entry and take control or the F.B.I. could of simply waited out Blackburn until he exited the room and took him by surprise, and his wife and children would most likely still be alive today. Only a coward would shoot his own wife and innocent children, and it upsets me cause the F.B.I. could of handled this better.

Then we can make a move so that the kids will be safe and Sofia the FBI made bad decision. What an ending this is to a tragic situation. And what kind of woman and mother will take her small children to be on the run with her scumbag husband to wind up dead. That was a very selfish act from her, so evil, such irresponsible behavior from both parents, they were only thinking for themselves and the money. Two innocent children lost their lives at the hands of their own parents. Sophia didn’t have to pull the trigger to kill their two girls, her actions as an irresponsible and selfish mother killed their two daughters. It was evilness at its very finest. May the little girls Rest In Peace always. They didn’t deserve to die that way, it was a brutal death committed by their father. Sad indeed.

Blackburn asked the agent to let them go. The agent said he can't do that. The agent got his kids killed. He didn't even try to negotiate because the F.B.I always has to get their man! The agent should have said I'll let you go, and you alone. When I hang up you have 15 minutes to get out of here, and run as far away as you can. Our priority right now is to make sure your kids are safe. We will deal with you later. The guy wasn't very good at staying on the run. They would've found him again eventually
