Some of the digital content is only in the collectors..

It looks beautiful though especially the mask.

I am a geek. I also run a company, this mask I can display in my office, this banner I can matt/ frame and it will look just like an artifact. If I have learned anything in gaming it is to " hide in plain sight" A statue costs you more than the price of it.

For that price,i would've preferred a 12" statue rather than the mask.

You guys are completely not getting the point. This stuff is for collectors. They buy stuff and keep it so one day it becomes valuable. A great comparison here is, i have a comic book worth 10,000 bucks. It was bought in the 80s for 10 bucks. Now lets change it. A first issue super man comic book went for 2 million bucks. All that does it sit there. You not reading it, your not touching it..all your doing is looking at it and hope your house doesn't burn down. My point is people collect its a hobby. Therefore although ill say prices should be fair, theres a limited number of these so you can't just go to the store to pick it up. Meaning there limited, limited items means they almost always have value.

Hey that's a solid question. Usually we end up like 5 dollars on that stuff. We just don't really put a lot of emphasis on the box. At the end of the day, these Collector's Editions are really all about preference. What I think is a 20 dollar item you might think is worthless and what you think is a 20 dollar item, I might value at 50 dollars. What are your thoughts on this edition overall?

I know this is an older review but anybody who listen too y’all and didn’t get his CE man they missed out on a great CE and with beating the hell out of this game all the items that this CE had it made perfect sense.

@@willenglish3598 I can order one online right now and never show ID. In Texas you can carry it without any form of carry permit as long as you can prove you aren’t carrying it to cause harm. It all depends on where you live. In the US you can just order them or buy them and the person at the store might make sure you’re at least like 14.

id say the mask is worth $40-$50 not only from the detail but the materials its made of, personally i prefer to have a replica of something in the game vs a statue. I like statues but to have an actual thing from the game in my hands like the slayer helmet from doom gives me the same vibe for this. My total value for this collectors edition comes to: game 60 mask 50 cloth map 20 flag 10 wrapping cloth 10 steel book 20 art book 20 all digital content 5 all come to a total of... $195 so its worth a buy for its price to me at least, however i can easily see someone giving it a pass if they aren't into the prop replica style collectibles and would prefer a $40 statue... really what do you want to collect? the in game mask or a character model statue?

Warping cloth is use on bento box the warp it with that cloth that what I seen in anime

I'm really surprised alot of people would prefer a statue, that mask looks sick as fuck and a really cool edition to a games room/office set up. Got mine on order and can't wait to see it in person to see if it's worth it! Haha

The mask is numbered, so for a sense of rarity I’d say it’s worth it, if you did a quick google search most of the questions you asked could have been answered, I do agree that it is on the high end though. I believe they choose the mask to give the edition an appropriate theme, Japanese war masks have a lot of history and background and having it as a main piece isn’t a problem for me. It all goes down to personal preference and due to costs for the units of the masks they may have increased their price to fit a profit more suitable for them

Wow. Got it today. The map, flag and cloth wrap are pieces of art. The mask can be worn with some mods.

Yes, I woulda liked a traditional figure of Jin. His pose on the box woulda been cool. but, I will say, I have dozens of statues in a standing pose. the sakai mask is something that is different and still pretty cool. I did pre-order it like i did for all ps4 exclusives. I would of liked it at a $149.99 price point, but i would say the same with TLoU2 collector's edition. I like the last of us 2 ellie statue a little more but the pins/stickers/bracelet compared to ghost of tsushima collectors edition's cloth map/Furdshiki/Sashimono, I think is way cooler to have. I'm hyped for both games! Great breakdown video as usual.

Before I preordered the special edition, I did look at this! I feel like your paying for fandom because of Sucker Punch’s name. I love Sucker Punch games I grew up playing sly cooper and the infamous games I loved those games and I have full faith that this game will be amazing. That mask is awesome. I don’t have anything like that mask in my collection. But I would prefer a figure than that mask at the 169 price tag. Great video!

I agree with you guys on the pricepoint, but for me the seller was that awesome feudal japanese theme (im a history nerd anyways) and that they didn't go for those character statues that i hate. I really hope that mask is wearable or sizeable enough to be giga cool.

Well all this stuff sells on eBay for alot more then 5-10 bucks lol. I wish these prices turned out being right. The mask alone goes for $150. The steel book goes for $70, the whole thing is like$300 ect. Which sucks

Hmm. So. For me, I actually prefer display masks over figures, so this is much more up my alley due mostly to that mask. $170 is a bit steep though. HOWEVER, I DO have a 25% off coupon for a single game from Best Buy that I got from my GCU expiring that needs to be used before June (maybe...the expiration date on it is weird for reasons...but I digress), which would bring this down to just shy of $130. So my dilemma - is this what I want to use it on, or do I want to wait for some other potential collector’s edition to be made available for preorder? About the only other thing I see that I hadn’t already pre-ordered back when I had the CGU discount is maybe the Doom Eternal one (haven’t watched your video on it yet), buuut the issue with that one is that the PS4 one is currently sold out, so it may not even be possible to get it when it releases. Hmm. Oh, and by the way technically this collector’s edition comes with a few more DLC than the deluxe edition - the armor, horse, and saddle DLC is exclusive to the CE, if I’m reading it right.

Preordered the Special Ed...100$ for those pieces in the Collectors Ed. is not worth it...and I'm a sucker for Collector Editions. So far this year I say Doom Eternal and Cyberpunk 77 have the best collector editions.

Definitly overpriced £100 for a mask and some cloth but its one of the best games I've ever played far better than last of us 2. So if the devs get much more profit for the game due to overpriced ce it will encourage them to make a second game and maybe more.

I love the mask, I would value it as 40-60$ since idk how the difficulty of making a mask or the quality. I’m cool with it not being wearable bc everyone has different face sizes. I think the mask would look nice next to a katana stand.

Watched your guys review a while back and decided to hold off on the collectors edition pre-order until I played the game. Instantly fell in love with it so I pulled the trigger on the CE. Luckily my local GameStop had one extra. The War banner is way bigger than I expected and the mask is super high quality with a very nice weight to it. I was happy to pay the $169.99.

FYI, War Banner is 4.5 Ft long, Mask is made out of Polyresin and not wearable, (official info from PsBlog)

Yall should do more research before you guys lowball the shit of items. The war flag is about 4ft long. The mask is a heavy poly resin and the stand for the mask is numbered because it is limited.

After watching this video I cancelled my order, still have cyberpunk 2077 collectors edition to look forward to. Still going to buy ghost of Tsushima but might buy digitally because the physical is just not good enough for me.

Yeah. I was about to buy the collector's edition. But you guys are so right. I'm opting for the digital. The mask would be cool if it was wearable. It's not. It does not show the holes for the rope.

Real sashimono costs a lot. And by a lot I mean from 100 USD way UP. Same with wearable menpo (mask). So a game Collector's edition. This one is actually quite a deal. Since people that can't afford "real ones" can buy this.

Don't think the special edition has the horse dlc ?

Already pre-ordered it. I have no problem with it as long as I believe in my gut. 1 game is very expensive to me is Final Fantasy 7 Remake 1st Class Edition over $320 and I have found out it is episode 1 and that is insane!! That's why I pre-ordered Deluxe

most annoying thing i ever had to deal with was going back to college at 30 and taking a japanese language course, to only have these millennials be obssesed with japanese culture and all these girls and boys spoke about was cartoons and played gameboys, yet they were 25-29 years old, omfg i felt like i was in a daycare. never get americans and the obsession with japanese culture. btw this collectors edition is a rip off.

The mask will be made from polyresin, so it's not necessarily paperweight, but I will have to pass on this one tbh

It tells us that nothing in the picture is to scale,check bottom left corner. The battle flag is 4' x 2' , this is to tradition,the map too is of substantial size. Still enjoy your opinions though please a review based on an image isn't viable. Yes you can hang the banner under your flag but more than positive it'll cost a lot more than $25. Peace n War

Coming in at a preferred price of 149$ but being able to see and understand the 169$ pricepoint without prior knowledge of the 4.5' war banner or the fact that the mask is made of poly resin makes it easy for us to look back now and say 'okay, with this new information, if you like the contents in this edition, 169$ is not a bad price.'

Here in Scotland there's only one outlet for this edition and they sold out within 2 hours. Thought I'd missed out only to find that today they've released some more though not many,instant pre-order. Disgusted as usual at the greedy bastards who've already stuck this edition on eBay for £400. These are the bastards that stop actual genuine gamers from owning something that may actually mean something to them,pleasure and lore wise. I'm bald n Scottish. Good job bald comrades.

I actually pre-ordered it. I understand what I'm getting and happy spending that amount for this collectors edition. If the mask is not wearable I will be disappointed, but not to the point I will cancel my pre-order for it. Like y'all said, it's a bit overpriced, but at lease it's not that MK11 collectors edition. That was so far overpriced it should've came with a free digital version of the next MK down the pipeline. Lol

Actually I think this IS A RIP-OFF. Sucker Punch could do better. 230€ for this crap is too much. Especially most of the stuff are just mass products which cost them maybe max $5 in production. I still remeber the inFamous 2 Collectors Edition yeeears ago and this one is still a standard/t i like to bring up with any other CE which gets released nowadays: the infamous 2 one included the game, a mini comic, a figurine, one half of the soundtrack (guess it was the red or blue ost) AND a wearable and totally functional bagpack which Cole was wearing during the whole game. And it only costed me max 100€. Just look at the Ubisoft CEs. They gettin' more and more expensive each year. For stuff that is so unnecessary. And yes: im not gonna buy it.

Julian Hernandez got my collectors edition on release date and I have to say the mask is absolutely outstanding. Never thought it would be of such a high quality. Very happy with my collectors edition. The box art is absolutely incredible along with the steel book.

The edition isn't really a terrible value and we even say that during the video. The war banner is over four feet long and apparently the mask is made of poly resin or something like that. Regardless, you personally still need to be able to place value on those things. If you don't, then it's a pass. If you do, then it's a fair buy.

For everyone that has PlayStation Pro the best or the Xbox one S if games are too expensive or the games like a elite pro collectors and so one too expensive you guys should stick with Nintendo or Sega Console with games inside included nothing is Expensive that you can get only once
