Actually I was interested in the dimensions of the cover v. The dimensions of the Bible. For instance, how many additional inches did you leave for the top and sides, taking into consideration a 1/4” seam?

I measured my Bible and added 1/4" to every edge.

I love it and I wish I could make one but since I am not an expert or at least good sewing I wish measurements and slower details were given, I am a senior and I was trying to follow the video but it was to fast for me to learn the steps. It is a beautiful a great job!!

But you can purchase the pattern from the link I put in the video description (By the way, I do not earn any commission if you buy from that link). As to the speed of the video, you can slow it down by clicking on the gear icon in the video, select playback speed, then adjust the speed to your liking. You can also pause whenever it is going too fast for you. I hope this helps and I hope you get to make the bible cover to your liking!

You should try making makeup bags or pencil bags to start of with, I did and learned so much with zipper part and now I feel like I can move up to a new level

I did buy the pattern but the zipper on the outside is vertical on pattern and on this one it’s horizontal…. How do the measurements change because I think it’s better horizontal. Should say my daughter bought the pattern for me 😊

I followed the instructions in the pattern on pp. 20-21 (for cover C) except that I cut 1.75" from the edge of the Outer Pocket for the zipper. ☺
