    At the start I thought you had been watching us setup our cameras 🙂 I really like this mount, we will have to give it a go, thanks. I think we might struggle to find 1/4-20 hanger bolts, everything over here is metric but I am sure we can find a different fixing

    Great tips Dave, this should be very helpful for so many… me included. We use ball heads that are mounted on top of our Trail Camera Mounting Stick and Tree Mounted Screws-In Mounts. However, they are made of steel and require constant maintenance and oiling because the ball heads rust/corrode. I could simply leave our metal ones permanently and operate positions in mount these on top and use these to control the camera angles. This could help me by making it possible not to have to carry cans of WD-40 into the field and removing the mounts from the field for maintenance. These will also be great on top of our camera mounting sticks. Will just screw these on to the camera mounts on the sticks and use this device to control the movement and angles of the cameras. Thank you sir, I’ll be putting dozens of these to good use in the field. Aho! ✋🏼 George Silver Hawk

    @@HuntingFarmerOfficial I will have to do a little video of the ones I make cos mounting trail cams can be a pain as you know, it’s a cheap & simple solution & you can just screw the mount to a tree or building, gate post or wherever & leave it there, I have about 11 in different places & the two other parts live on my two cams, just unscrew the bolt in the mount & pop it through the washer in the cam, all angles are easy to adjust & very strong not like the die cast that breaks when you tighten the bolt, & I airbrush them to match where the live, sometimes I can’t find em 😂😂

  • @WildlifeTrailcamUK
    @WildlifeTrailcamUK Жыл бұрын

    Those mounts look very handy and it’s certainly easier to adjust the angle than trying to stuff lots of pieces of wood behind the camera! 😂 I think we’ll have to try that on our cameras in the future! Thanks for sharing

    Great idea! However, the challenge is unscrewing it from the tree. The ball joint comes lose from the hanger bolt, even when i used a stop nut tight... Maybe permanent loc tite ?

    Are you using the ball head to screw in the hanger bolt? Have you had any difficulty getting the bolt started when screwing into the tree? I am just wondering if using the ball head as a handle to screw in the bolt if it might apply to much pressure on the ball head?
