A better drill press table fence!
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this video I upgrade my drill press table fence. This design allows for a flip stop as well as being easy to remove and install. Avoiding top mount T-track means you don't have to worry about the tracks getting all filled with shavings. This fence is 1.5" tall and made from baltic birch plywood. The locking mechanism is made from maple. The flip stop is made from aluminum and is custom made on my CNC milling machine, G0704.

I will buy a CNC Machine to make a "Hook" to my Drill Press Table
*Bought as a gift for my son and his second grade son to use on a Pinewood Derby car. Wanted something relatively safe and able to be packed away when not in use. Worked well. **MyBest.Tools** Easy to use and set up. Case provides good storage.*
Great outcome once again mate!! Well done!!
Great design. I'll be keeping this in mind for my own drill press. And the flip stop is also very nice, but I'll have to find another way to make one. Thanks for sharing!
Howdy Ryan. Nice job on the fence and the flip stop. I too have slots in my drill press table and they are forever clogging with chips. I really like your modifications. Nice simple design. Great Job. Thanks for posting the build and Yes, I like the flip stop for the fence.
Great clamping design and I really like the flip stop
That flip stop looks awesome!!
Clever and unique designs, thanks for sharing
I like the look and the functionality of the flip stop.
I like the flip stop and the fence design! Great work as always.
Really cool. Like the new flip stop
Great work. I’ll have to rethink my fence design now too!
Very nice fence and flipstop design
That surface finish is really cool.
that flip stop looked super cool
Awesome design on both flip stop and fence
I have been watching a lot of videoes on KZread about building a drill press table. What surprises me most is that almost all of them are built with keeping the fence square to the drill press table. This does add a lot of complexity in making the drill press table. I do not think that you need to do this. You only need to worry about the distance from the center of the drill bit to the edge of the fence. Take a look at my video "Build an easy drill press guide" and I would be interested in hearing your comments about my design. I have responded to a lot of other videos with this same idea and have not heard back from a single one yet. My design does not have a dust collection system.
Nice design! Thanks for sharing.
This flip stop looks da bomb! Great job there :)
User friendly design. Good job.
I'm definitely interested in one. I'm already on the wait list for the regular one so I say go ahead and make another list for this to add me to.
Came out so awesome and yes definitely interested!!!
I can’t wait to try this at home. Just towards the begin you called it a bevel you cut on your table saw. It was actually a Chamfer.
Love the cut pattern on the stop bracket
Really cool, nice upgrade! 👍👊
Love the flip stop and the machine finished look

Dont know how to use the flip stop but it looks great. Loving the direction of your channel. I tend to be favourable to products produced by KZreadrs and Canadians when they meet my needs.
Nice improvement, well done 👍
I might have to use this design! Simplest one i've seen!
Ryan very cool video and nice flip stop design.
Those flip stops are great, man. Nice video.
Great design! I really like it.
Really nice work. I've struggled like you, and this is an excellent solution. Keep the good work thanks.
Great table by the way.
Nice work, really cool, the pattern is phenomenal!! Greetings from Austria
I like the look of the flip stop. I made a fence similar for my bandsaw. No bevel but slides are on the sides.works great!
Nice job. I'm going to re do mine like this!!
That is an awesome idea going to try that myself.
Like the flippers!! Great vids, man!!
good design. both fence and flip stop. im gonna make a table saw fence and i might try this idea.
Great design Ryan on the fence and the stop block!

We have the almost exact same design flip stop that comes with hobby style table saws but it's made from steel, they work great and as a plus you can use them with aluminium profiles such as 2020/6020 etc. Great fence, I think it's time for an upgrade
Diggin' that CNC man.
Makes me want to redo my drill press table fence. Mine annoys me so much I rarely use it. I would defiantly buy the flip stop. I like the finish a lot 👍
great design all around. thanks

This is great. I like the improvements you made to the table and the flip stop is amazing. I love that you can make your own parts like that.
Looks great
Maybe cut off that 90* corner where the stop nests into the fence and table? That way dust and chips don’t interfere with the accuracy. Can also add a chamfer to the bottom edge of the fence for the same purpose. Just an idea. I may have to use this fence clamp idea on my shop made fences for my router table. Chips always clog that track.
Love it all. It's awesome.

I take it that you have some machining back ground. I am impressed with your machining knowledge. I like you drillpress table and I am going to build one for my benchtop drill press. Your youtube channel is very interesting and I'm getting a lot of good ideas. Thanks Gene C

Awesome video. Love that flip stop. Greetings from Andreas on Off Grid Sweden
Great job...I think the flip stop is great...thin and not "taking away" space on fence
I really like the way that your fence locks to the table. I bought a commercial fence/table for my drill press that uses the t - track method. Like you mentioned, the tracks keep getting clogged. It's also a nuisance taking the fence off and reinstalling it. Yours look much nicer.
I like that a lot and would be interested in purchasing both!
Nice built, quick and easy, CNC flip stop aside :-)
The stop looks great. I am in need of a drill press table and fence and would buy one.
Excellent!!!
Very Nice idea👍
Great clamp and I am interested in have a couple of them.
Cool solution.
Love the flip stop idea. Liked and subbed. The fence could easily have been solved with an L-shaped backer with a large hole cut out in the center to accommodate the drill press post. But I assume your system works well enough. Thanks for sharing! 👍🏻

Yup I need one
Nice improvements to the drill press table, I have similar to your original, might be time for an upgrade. :D
Yep, I'm interested
I don't follow directions well -- I hit the "thumbs up" button instead of the like button... ;) lol I like that flip stop!
Nice work. Would be interested in seeing a video on that fixture you made for the CNC vise to help you cut out the flip stop.

Justin Depew Looks like he did a softjaw setup. NYC CNC has some videos on how to do one.
Nice design and i also liked the old one as well, perhaps if the t-tracks either side were only half the size, you might not have a problem with those chips, basically place the t-tracks level either side of the middle, where the chuck hits the table when pulled all the way down. (hope you understood that ha ha ha) When you are using the gluebot place the red cover on top of the big yellow lid, that has the yellow bit in it that's were it goes when not in use, which saves the rubber band swinging around. Barry (ENG)
I’ll be buying that flip stop if you make them
Appreciate your video. Great design and I like the flip stop. I'm looking to build my first table for a vintage Craftsman drill press and wondering whether you ever considered designing and building a swivel fence? I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks again!
awesome!!
Nice design... I'd pick one those flip stops from you...

The mill pattern left behind on the stop looks sweet! Should you decide to do a production run, count me in for one!

Pretty slick. On my drill press table, my fence is bolted on one corner so that the fence pivots in an arc, instead of sliding horizontally. Less fuss; same net effect.

Until you need to drill several holes in a long piece of material. I guess it would be fine if your table was in the middle of the floor.
Pretty awesome, what type of bits are you running for this?
Nice new fence. Very similar to a Shopsmith fence. Like the flip stop mechanism. However, (you asked) I’m curious why there is space between the stop and the fence when the stop is down? Seems to have more of a point than flat? It works well though and that’s what’s important!
Love it!

Not sure the title is correct, "Simple Drill Press Table" I guess if everyone had their own CNC machine in their garage...ok. Enjoyed watching it though!

Like the flip stop, do you need a chamfer where it his the table so it’ll move when there’s a mess on the table? Cool though
Big machine, this CNC. How did you get out this alu-chips? In the video there was good to see, how much the router fires in all directions. Must be a bunch of work.
Interested! Plans please! Best drill press set up I’ve seen, really wish this was already on mine. I’m upgrading my CNC right now and using the drill press to cut a ton of holes in aluminum plates and this would be huge for me right now! I have a bunch of 1.5x1.5 80/20 so I might try to use that for the fence part.
well, if i had a cnc machine, maybe. but since i don't have that, NO i do not like this . but, kudos to you for having all the machinery.
Nice drill press fence. Are you working on the backordered flip stops on your website or do we need to reorder them if we did already?
Nice set-up on the fence and vertical Cnc. What machine is it?
You have nice gear, milling machines and such.. One day perhaps. Nice video and editing. I shall sub, cheers
Thanks
Why can't we use the normal flip stop on the drill press? It's the same but slightly smaller, right? Still cool. Wondering how long it'd take me to hacksaw and file one out of bar...
great video! can you share a link to the t-track you use?
Yeah buddy. I need this table and stop. So if you do decide to to a production run , let us know. Thanks
I really like the table you designed. Do you make those for sale so all you have to do is attach the table to the drill? Great video
Seems the round design on the bottom of the flip stop makes it more universal. I use a t-track for my miter station with no fence. Can’t seem to find a flip stop anywhere for it? Can you hook me up with something?
Great job and LOVE the flip stop! I guess I'll have to add a CNC to my wish list. BTW - What are your thoughts on just putting the T-Tracks on the sides of the table? I'm thinking that could be a good solution as well. ヅ
Flip stops? Yes Please!!!
Great idea and design. I need this table and fence for my drill press. Do you have any plans?
