Thank you for this video, I'm a little daunted at the thought of wiring my Boxer, but this has reassured me. Th8s set up is almost exactly what we would like. Before i get this kit, may I ask if the setup you've demonstrated here would work with the addition of an inverter so that we can have off grid 240v power ( I'll need more batteries which I will house in the rear garage) Any other advice would be appreciated before I order from yourselves. Thank-you

Very well explained. However can you advise if the 240v shore power inlet needs to be earthed. If it does how does it interact with the 12v earthing? Thanks.

Hi Andrew, all 240V inlets should be earth bonded to the chassis as long as the correct breaker units are used in the consumer unit. This does not effect the 12v circuit. Hope that helps. 😀

On the 230V AC 50 hz inlet from EHU can you explain why you bond this to the chassis ?

Thats really helpful, I have a Sargent unit and I'm looking to add solar and a MPPT, so good to know I can add along to the system. On your set up there, how would you add an Inverter into the 240v system on the Sargent? Thanks

Hi Andy, you will need to add a inverter to your leisure battery system and run a separate 240v output from there and not add it to the Sargent Unit. As the Sargent unit only gets it's 240v from the shore power inlet only. Hope that helps!

Hi, great video, but I don't really understand the switch panel. Do your wires all run from the Sarjent unit, to the panel and then to the component off that switch? Or is there another way?

Hi Chris, all the wiring runs from the Sargent unit to the components ie lights, fans etc. The panel only plugs into the Sargent unit, which in turn controls the power. Hope that helps!

Of topic, your heater is that a 2k or 4k Ive got the Sargent unit great bit of kit.

Hi Bobby, the heater we fitted was 2k, which is perfect for that size campervan, it gets up to temperature really quickly! Hope that helps :)

Does the Sargent unit take the place of an Inverter, for when you're Off-grid? Meaning, does it convert the 12volt power from the battery to 240volt, to run those particular 240volt appliances?

Hi, no the Sargent unit is a 240v hook up and 12v system, not an inverter. It's just an easier way of combining both together. Hope that helps :)

Hi, all the 12v appliances will be able to run off grid. Especially with the solar pannels on the roof topping the battery up. With this set up, to use the 240v you'll need to be plugged into the 240v mains.
