You can tell it's from a pendant and not a rosary because of the single loop at the top of it. If it were from a rosary, there would have been three loops-- one at the bottom and two at the top.

Good find! I find 1 or 2 of these medallion’s every time I get in the Gulf. Those waves rip jewelry to shreds.
