    In all their dream states, Rengoku was the only one that was based in reality. It shows just how pure his heart is as he only cares about his duty to protect others, and about caring for his father and brother.

    It shows something else about him too. They were all given their ideal dream lives, which means that Rengoku's father's behavior was part of his perfect vision of his life. He had so deeply and unconditionally accepted his father's behavior that he truly loved the way things were regardless.

    @@mastixencounter Like I said, it was based in reality. The argument a lot of people have that Rengoku had a "good dream" spending time with his brother and training him to also become a Hashira imo is not a solid argument. It's true he loves his brother but as a Hashira that went through brutal training and knowing his brothers lacking skills, he very well knows that Senjuro could never become a swordsman and be his apprentice. That's why as a realist he told him "No matter what path you take you will be great", not "You will be a great swordsman." Also, if Emmu showed him a good dream it would have showed so much more, his mother alive, his father a still loving and caring person, Senjuro becoming his apprentice as that was a very important and traditional expectation for the family. If Emmu showed him that, Rengoku as a Hashira and realist would have immediately known it as a blood demon art because it was too idealistic. The idea that Rengoku dreamt of training his brother to become the next Flame Hashira even when he knew he could never be one goes against his honest and pure hearted character, and everything we know about him. In Rengoku's dream, everything was based in his reality, the life that showed pain and obstacles to overcome, but one that could be met with positivity and a burning desire to keep fighting no matter what.

  • @mastixencounter

    @mastixencounter

    Жыл бұрын

    @@HSSJ2 What? It's not my fault you have emotional attachment issues and can't think logically. Did you forget Rengoku was the first to proudly state "There's no need for a trial! We're going to behead him along with the demon" not even giving either Tanjiro or Nezuko a chance. Sanemi actually helped their case. Sanemi could have decimated her if he wanted to but didn't. He actually gave Nezuko a chance to prove herself. He needed to stab her to weaken her so that she would want to feed along with letting her smell his blood which is potent marechi blood which demons get drunk off of. So Nezuko rejecting meant a lot and made it even clearer to all the hashira that she can be trusted now. Sanemi was even fine with Tanjiro staying alive, just to have him punished for breaking the rules, which is more sympathy what Rengoku ever showed there. Demons don't feel pain, hence sanemi stabbing Nezuko from his point of view was doing nothing to nezuko. The only reason why she feels any pain at all is because she isn't feeding off of human blood. Sanemi was well within his rights to do what he did. How does he know Tanjiro isn't working alongside demons and he could let Nezuko go rampant inside the headquarters to attack.

  • @HSSJ2

    @HSSJ2

    Жыл бұрын

    @@mastixencounter It really isn't that difficult of a topic. Sanemi was physical and irratic. Provoking tanjiro by stabbing nezuko in his first scene. Rengoku (like most of the others) said some words and voiced his opinion, most of the others saying pretty much the same thing eg tengen and gyomei who both wanted to put tanjiro out of his misery. Thing is they didn't act upon it, they waited for the master. Sanemi is the one who refused to wait and took action. That's literally it, first impressions. Nobody while watching it for the first time would have been thinking sanemi is helping, think logically. Also "attachment issues?" Tf are you talking about. Your entire essay is irrelevant because NOONE would have been thinking that far about sanemis actions, he comes off as in instant douche and that's why most people dislike him. He is one of my fav characters after reading the manga, but it's really not that hard to see why many anime onlys hate him. You clearly don't understand how most people interpret things when they watch something for the first time, talking to me about thinking logically. Finally, Sanemi was laughing waiting for nezuko to go for it, tbh I highly doubt he was intentionally trying to help them. He has marechi blood too which demons can't resist, so he probably expected her to go for it which she almost did. Yet for some odd reason you want to believe rengoku specifically should be hated for saying one line, even tho multiple others said the same thing. They knew the master was coming and were not going to do a single thing to them. Also for the record those one liners were more for the introduction of each hashira as they all say it in their unique ways (rengoku shouting and smiling, tengen saying flamboyant). You seem to be very out of touch.

This is freaking art, and one of the best anime movies ever made. I realize you've basically caught up at this point, but I will still recommend that you watch the first episode of the Mugen Train arc. in honor of Rengoku, here are some Rengoku Fun Facts: Kyojuro loved to watch sumo wrestling. Kyojuro's favorite food was sweet potatoes. When eating them, he said "tasty/delicious" (旨うまい umai) each time he puts one in his mouth. His favorite side dish was salt grilled bream. Kyojuro was never allowed to have a pet because his father hated animals. Kyojuro's very distant ancestor, as stated by Kyojuro, ate a lot of tempuras causing their descendants' and their own hair to become quite abnormal. The Rengoku family has long since had a practice called "Kankagari" (觀かん篝かがり kankagari). For the duration of their pregnancies/gestation period, every seven days the wives will spend two hours gazing at a large flaming torch. This seems to be what causes the men in the family to have flame colored hair. Kyojuro viewed the other Hashira as follows. "She developed the poison! Amazing! She fights on despite her disadvantageous physique! She deserves my respect!" - Insect Hashira "He's even more talented than I am when I was around his age! You're young, keep up the remarkable work!" - Mist Hashira "His senses are sharp! If it's just his shoulder, elbow, and the joints in his wrist, then they're more flexible than Kanroji's!" - Serpent Hashira "He's blessed with a huge physique!, I'm envious! Swinging those gigantic weapons so lightly is amazing! Fantastic muscular build!" - Stone Hashira "His voice is so small! It's difficult to hear what he has to say! He's a hard worker!" - Water Hashira "The trajectory of his swordsmanship is beautiful! I saw a shinobi for the first time ever! I'm deeply moved! He slightly has too many wives!" - Sound Hashira "She utilizes her talent! The creativeness of her techniques is terrific as well! She's a cute junior!" - Love Hashira "The man who pushed the Wind Breathing's techniques up to the next level! How admirable!" - Wind Hashira Kyojuro's level of openness was ranked as 95%. It was revealed in a Taisho Secret in Episode 28 that Rengoku doesn't have a Tsuguko because of how hard his training is and they end up running away. Kyojuro is one of only 4 Hashira that use a normal Nichirin Katana. The other 3 are Giyu Tomioka, Muichiro Tokito, and Sanemi Shinazugawa. In Kimetsu Academy, Kyojuro is a history teacher. Because of his passion of teaching and his love of history, he began hurling his students and starting cavalry battles during class. He's loved by his students, and nobody in this academy has terrible grades in history.

    There's two tells in The movie that rengoku will die: 1 is when they find him eating, and he keeps yelling "Delicious!" which is a samurai's way of enjoying his meal before battle in case he dies. Then theres the moment When he's about to use his last attack and says "I will fulfill my duty." The fulfillment of that duty involves sacrifice for the sake of others.
