Cautiously optimistic here. Yeah, it was a lot but it was the right move. Better questions at WR than at QB. Also if we end up getting a true franchise QB who cares? We still have pick 39 which puts in a position to draft someone like Downs or Hyatt. If we're lucky maybe Addison.

Moore's contract will subtract from that but it won't be as big of a hit as signing one to a new contract or trading picks to get one.

If you look at the draft pick value chart and value DJ Moore as the 21st pick in the 1st round it's a dead even trade value wise. I just don't see any QB in this draft worth trading up that far for. They must really love one of these guys. What sucks for the Bears is they're going to miss out on Jalen Carter and Will Anderson since they moved down so far.

This is insane ... I don't think people fully understand how much better the Bears just got. DJ Moore is an incredible WR, the Bears needed that desperately. The Bears have enormous Cap Space, they can command anybody in FA that they want. They have so much draft capital they can make practically any move they want to. The only thing holding them back right now is how much money is available to pay player's salaries.

I just hope we are able to snag some decent players in FA. I was getting depressed when I started to see who was getting Franchise Tagged! Oh well, what I really hope they can get is: 1) And Elite Left Tackle 2) A True #1 WR (DJ Moore???) 3) A QB Hunting DE 4) A "scheme friendly" Linebacker who we can pair with Sanborn. 5) Maybe another Offensive Linemen, to slot in next to Borom? In the Draft, now that we are #9, I honestly think you CANNOT pass up on either Skronski or Paris. If either is there then take your favorite of the 2. After that it should probably be all WRs and DL. What do we have now... 7 or 8 picks? That's good. That's a good start... But next year. Oh man. The 2024 Draft Class is LOADED! And we now have 2 - First Round Picks, 3 - Second Round Picks, and a Third Round Pick. Next year is where will build the real foundation of this Team for the next 6 to 7 years.

The bears despite a horrific start are in a situation where even if they lose this week. We're still sitting at more than double the win total from last year and still have the first overall pick and the ability to do whatever we want in this coming offseason I think this may go down as one of the most lopsided trades this century Especially if we trade this picm or if we take williams and he develops into a franchise QB

Honestly as a Panthers fan I’m stoked. We still have pick 39 to get an impact player. TMJ has made strides and there’s some great Day 2 WRs in the draft. If we win the division then our pick will be at least 20. Both teams benefit just like the CMC trade both teams benefit. That trade gave us the capital to make this trade.
