A basic drill press table
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
A drill press table has been in the back of my mind for quite some time now. I wanted something simple to remove as well as easy to use. This drill press table only features a fence, no frills:) thats all i need

Simple and clever, are doing the same design but are adding some dog holes for extra clamping and also for aligning the fence if ever needed. Thanks for sharing!
It's nice to see a video where someone truly builds something for function and using what you have. Happy New Year, hope 100k comes soon

I am surprised you are not over 100k already. Your ideas are unique, yet simple. I just finished making the shop drawers you made and and extremely happy with them.
That came out very nice. you could even add a dust collection now if you need it.
I like how you locked "keyed" the table to your drill press. I like that idea. I can't wait to see your PLAY button once you hit 100k. Thank you for all the good ideas and videos.
Nice and simple, I intend to make one myself. Well done.
Ryan, this is one of my favorite channels because of projects like this one: Simple solutions that work.

Perfect solution to me
I like the sliding insert. Doesn't require cnc to produce a bunch of them and it makes them last.
Great project and problem solving - you know it's good when there's nothing on there that doesn't need to be there!
100k! Here's to another year of great Shop Built videos. Cheers!

The 1/4" recess and using keys was a great idea, I'm going to do this for my larger drill press. I'll tell all of my woodworking buddies to subscribe to your channel, especially the newbies!!!

Very Nice. Drill Press table has been on my todo list for a while. Currently I just have a piece of plywood clamped to my table.. This might have inspired me a bit to move it up the list :)
I love the inception like using of the drill press to make parts for the drill press.
Just got rid of my old table saw and upgraded to a Jet Cabinet saw. the first thing I'll be building is that Tenon Jig you made recently and a similar table to this for my drill press. I really enjoy the videos dude and hope you get that 100k mark soon.

one of the best tables i've seen
Less than 700 to 10K. That's only a couple weeks. Feliz año nuevo from Spain!!

Nice build Brian. I could do with one for my 'new' old drill press, and I think you covered all that's necessary very well. Thanks for sharing
Well done. I like the simple yet effective approach!
very nice. I totally over built my drill press table. that is a very nice idea. I like your idea if the key holes to stop it from moving around.
nice and simple don't have x carve good idea about cut the circle out then glue second piece. love how you made it simple keep the videos coming

Throw the stop block into the x-carve and make a recessed groove for a T-nut and have the T-nut go through the fence to a locking knob.
Congrats on the 100k. Well deserved. Great videos.
Great, simple project!

Im impressed. I was actually just thinking, are he going to put a T-track in the fence part..... You need to play the lottery man :) :) :) Love the simplicity of the table.
Awesome, I love how you get it on there with no hardware. One of those is on my list.

great work, from the uk
Great timing on this video, Ryan. During the Christmas holiday I picked up an old Jet/Orbit press and now am eager to build useful accessories for it such as this table/fence. I am particularly inspired by your attachment method, and will do the same when I construct my own. Subscribed already, but I'll sure spread the word and follow you on Insta.
love your channel thanks for the videos
FYI, 100k, congrats!
Another great video and another thing I've been wanting to build for my drill press. I'm sure you'll hit 100K in no time. Best of luck to you.

similar to the one I built and I love mine. Great job brother love your work keep those videos coming :)
Great project, should have made the dado for the disposable inserts slightly off centre so you could flip it and get more use out of each insert.
Great job. I was looking for something similar and this will fit my purpose. Cheers Bud!
Awesome add-on! I want to build one!

Great way to mount it to the drill press table. Might have to borrow that one. Maybe offset the fence mounting bolts back a bit. Looks like they come pretty close to the face of the fence. New subscriber to help you to the 100k mark.

Good deal Ryan!
Hi Shop Built. Good video. I borrowed ideas for my drill press fence that is bolted at one end only with clamps to hold it and this allows a series of holes to be drilled parallel to the fence. Also I attached two Bessey style clamps to the fence facing out to clamp the piece to be drilled. Colin in Northern Ireland

I think you did a great job, inspires me to do something like that. It is so hard to hold objects on the factory drill press table even with a drill press vise because you have to hold the vise! Go figure. I have already subscribed so I can't help you there.

nice video, if you had to do it over it would be nice to see how well the the x-carve would leave the recesses to lock in the slots on the round metal table, sort of the point of the x-carve
nice
Cool table does your waste block stay level with your table
you will get the 100k soon enough, heck when i subbed i think you were in the 40k area.

I like this but I would have to add a screw to hold the insert down, I can see it wanting to pull up with the drill bit.
Nice build, Love the tool less table. Have you considered moving drill press down? It looks like spinning board would hit you square in the jugular.

I managed to recess my DP on a frame fitted into the cabinet framing and then re-installed the cabinet top. I needed to get rid of the drill press mounting foot as I have my miter saw right next to the drill press cabinet location. Only the DP column comes thru the cabinet top. The drill press cabinet then allows outfeed for the miter saw.
Come on 100k
