A Barlow And A Buck For A Buck

Today I take a look at a Barlow and a stockman that I got at a flea market for a buck each!! The knives had rust and dirt / mud and who know what all on them but I think they cleaned up nicely.

Thanks Stan! I like them both, I think that Barlow is from the 70’s and I found out the Buck is from 2012.

Awesome find on both of those!! That Camillus tang stamp was used from 1960 to the late 1970's. I have one of the same model from the same era that I did a video of on my channel. Yours is in much better condition than mine, though. The reason there's no blade rub is because both of those stockmans have three springs. One for each blade so you don't have two blades crammed into the space of one. Really, really cool knives! Sub'd your channel.

Thanks for the tang stamp information. I was guessing that it was from the 70’s. You’re right the Buck does have three springs and probably help a lot to combat blade rub. Thanks for the sub and kind words. I’m headed over to your channel now. 👍👊

Buck still makes several knives in the USA and their Chinese models are pretty decent.

Sweet looking knives. Like @rwa said that is the date code after the numbers for that Buck. That date code says that knife was made in 2012.

@@RadioGeekBlades you’re welcome. Lol it’s all good lol. Yeah like rwa said, you can go on Buck’s website and look up the date code chart or google Buck Date Code. Either way will work and you can see how old your knife is. Those date codes don’t always match what the box says. You have a wonderful week brother. God Bless

The last symbol after the number 373 isa date code symbol that tells what year the knife was made. All you have to do is look up Buck tang stamp date code.
