Thank you for this video. My daughter just got diagnosed with mono. Her sodium is low, b12, and vitamin D. She's so sick. 😢

Man sorry to hear that, how is she now? I just got diagnosed currently in week 1-1/2 I can’t stand the pain not even to drink some water😢

  • @ashleyshredder

@robertf.8916 She missed 3 weeks of school. Ended up having an abscess in her tonsil and was put on IV antibiotics. If you have any suspicion that you may have an abscess (severe pain, trouble swallowing, pain that isn't improving with over the counter meds), please go get checked again. She had to see the ENT and he said that a lot of times drs will see mono throat and think it's just part of mono. He said he sees it often and people end up really sick.

@@ashleyshredder I really appreciate your help! Yes! When the doctor gave the results of mono I asked if it’s possible to have an abscess because I felt my tonsils almost touching and he said oh don’t worry that doesn’t happen with mono. Will definitely keep an eye on that

  • @ashleyshredder

@robertf.8916 My goodness...yes it does!! Hers were touching as well. She had maybe the size of a nickle airway. With hers, you could see a circular spot on her tonsil along with the white streaks. Just be very cautious and don't wait too long. They did 2 CT scans of her neck 3 days apart. First didn't show it, 2nd one did. Watch your spleen as well.

@@ashleyshredder I’ll keep checking that regularly thank you so much! And did she had any symptoms like pain in the ear or fever or not able to open the mouth even after taking any over the counter pills?

@@robertf.8916 sorry I’m so late to your comment but the symptoms were spleen pain, eye problems(dryness, sunlight sensitivity), heat rashes, throat pain, fatigue. Tested negative in late Feb but I’m still feeling all the effects and I’m nowhere near healthy. Very frustrating.

Vitamin D (a hormone) and calcium (a mineral) are nutrients that sustain healthy bones. So Vitamin D is a hormone/fat-soluble vitamin not a mineral. Just sayin. Much love!
