A. A. Allen ‎- Did God Call The Apostle Paul To Preach The Gospel To The Black Man? (1964)

Музыка

Asa Alonso Allen (March 27, 1911 - June 11, 1970), better known as A. A. Allen, was a minister with a Pentecostal evangelistic healing and deliverance ministry. He was, for a time, associated with the "Voice of Healing" movement founded by Gordon Lindsay. He died at the age of 59 in San Francisco, California. Allen was buried at his ministry headquarters in Miracle Valley, Arizona
A. A. Allen was one of the most important revivalists to emerge in the early days of the healing revival and was one who ploughed on with grass-roots healing revivalism for over twenty years until his death in 1970. Charismatic and controversial, this comparative latecomer to the revival was known as ‘the boldest of the bold amongst his peers and loved by thousands of his followers.
A. A. Allen was one of the first ministers, along with Oral Roberts, to open his revival meetings up to interracial crowds. This, of course, created a different kind of persecution, but A. A. Allen would use it as a platform to stand on and preach from. More persecution would come when he began in the mid-1950s to urge Pentecostal ministers to establish independent churches that would be freed of denominational controls. A. A. Allen felt that programs had replaced the old wooded altars and that the denominations were limiting what the Spirit of God was trying to do in the Body of Christ. He once said, “With few exceptions, the churches today are leaning more and more toward dependence upon organizational strength, and natural ability, and denominational methods. They no longer expect to get their increase through the old-fashioned revival altar bench, or through the miracle-working power of God, but rather through the Sunday school.

Not so. The apostle Paul was from the tribe of Benjamin. They are not of African descent.

In Christ, there is neither male nor female. They all can be used for the glory of God as long as all things are done decently and in order. GOD said, "I suffer not a woman to teach" Amen? All body parts aren't made to do the same function but they are all part of the same body.

This respected historical recording bears witness on how so-called black men has so well accepted this manuscript call the Bible. We know the stories and the scriptures so well but not well enough to realize that's all it is a book of stories not reality.

He didn’t have to keep saying the “n” word repeatedly. I as African American say “n word” without saying it. So vulgar . No judgement just observation.

I am white and I noticed it too. I think he probably did it because of what were the popular things to say and to make the points, but I did notice it and because it is 2020, it sounds very out of date. Although he was ahead of his time in a lot of ways even in the 50s.

It was different back in the day. People had a thicker skin when it came to words. They had a “if it doesn’t pick my pocket or break my leg then I don’t care” mentality. So it wasn’t really taboo to say certain words. Folks back in the day could be “unintentionally rude.”
