Another great module from Ben and Befaco. As an aside, that 1U Plum Audio Robots is so great. I got one of those recently. It's like the 1U Pam-lite or something.

It's a great idea to be able to pull stuff together, including non modular stuff, without an external mixer. I've used the stereo chain input on my blue lantern mixer for similar, mixing my digitone in with the euro stuff. I think it's euro level though so I feed it with the headphone output and adjust the volume that way.

Nice thing and nice choons. Anything that has both small and big headphone outs get a thumbs up from me. (Also enjoying POVCam 😁)

Ironically, I've built a whole mixer stage [stereo] for my modular using Befaco modules [STMIX/OUT/InAmp]. Although Ben's is compact, I need a level control on each input. However, form factor wise this is a very interesting module. Also, the TR-8S is the best drum machine ever made! Emulations are tighter than the TR-8, and adding samples clinched it. Linndrum samples being a fav. TBH, it's all wildly subjective. :D While I'm at it, I loved your Disting vid.

Rave stabs where? Where are they coming from? Can you make an update on your live system as you seem to have been doing for the past year? Cheers mate (: Edit: those 5 minutes sounds awesome, I’d really like to hear this on a nice sound system.

The Output Bus is sort of compressing and driving it quite significantly - doesn’t sound like that on its own! Good drive always helps (as it does on the original Roland’s!!)

@@mylarmelodiesI actually only use it to have an easy quick EQ and some compression, which gives me bit of high and low boost I like. I use it as a 'sweetener' only. I do like it to also have it on my headphones, so for me I miss this 'insert' before the final mix on the output bus.

​​@@mylarmelodies I use the HPO for that (with the GM in between), only 2 HP plus STMix makes it 8hp as well... Oh, and also the end VCA of the Golden Master is nice, to totally silence it all!

Nice jam! If you consider the TR-8 the best drum machine Roland ever made, in what aspect does it beat the TR-8s?

To be fair I’ve never owned a TR8S (and it’s all personal) so take such inflammatory statements with a pinch of salt - but it’s all about immediacy. Having 808/909/707/606/727 all in one box with faders is bonkers IMHO.

You can even desolder all the green LEDs and replace them with orange, and buy an 808 stylee Lexan overlay - it’ll sound immediately better of course

To be fair, I haven't owned a TR8S, and I totally would have one. But what I'm saying is that for what you can get a TR8 for, it's an insane value device that is irrationally fun to play. It's an 808/909/707/606/727 in one box with faders, build for absolute immediacy. It's very very good
