A 420HP Lincoln Town Car is the Ultimate Tuner Troll

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Not all first cars are created equal - but taking your grandpa's Lincoln Towne car and making the best of the situation is something Zach Borden has truly figured out. With his 420HP Lincoln Town Car he has built the ultimate sleeper...infect almost too well. Overlooked until recently - the Panther platform is incredibly versatile and has tons of potential as a fun car. So what is it like driving a 420HP Lincoln Town car? Let's talk about it!

Jesus shows up in a white bathrobe and ray-bans wayfarers, holding a can of monster ultra. “hey dudes. You all know that I can walk on water. However, did you know that I can also drive on ethanol?” Hops in a town car and proceeds to hit a 0.25 second quarter mile. The glass on every car in a 1 mile radius immediately shatters as the pressure wave from the speed of sound being broken reaches them. The ground surrounding the starting line is now lava. Anybody standing near the exhaust when the car started accelerating is now in a completely different state of America. The rest of the audience’s ear drums are orbiting around the earth after reaching escape velocity. “And I didn’t even make it past 1st gear.”

I only want a bigger engine with more power just to get away from people on the roads who are a danger to themselves and others, whether they're lost/confused or their mind's clouded with excessive road rage. We all know when Covid shutdowns let up, many common folk became irate behind the wheel, more so than ever before. This Town Car looks awesome. This has got to be one of the coolest sleeper builds I’ve seen. Other than it being slammed, I’m sure it rides great just like all of the other panther platform cars. Fully expected when you said it was swapped at the beginning for you to say it was a 4v or a coyote, would’ve never guessed an LS, but it’s clear it’s been done right and Zach has put the time to make it function like OEM, which is so awesome to see. Great Video! Ps: can’t believe that 2v redline was 4500rpm. That’s nuts

@@P71ScrewHead I mean, it's a powerplant that has always and will always make much better power than a 2v. The only real thing that the 2v has over the LS is just sheer unkillability...to an extent. It's been shown that 2V engines tend to split in half at around the 700-750 HP mark, which for most people is something they'll never reach. However, i've seen stock LS blocks take a shitkicking at around 900 HP without issues. Plus, the LS has better drivability modded.

Plus there are 25+ years of research and development into making these LS swaps easy. And while yes i agree that a coyote swap would be cooler, i think a full Ford NASCAR drivetrain swap would be even cooler than that, since money is apparently no problem for you 💰🤑

This is the segment of car culture that does it for me. Take a clean tough older car, and make it a sleeper. He's done everything right, and this kind of reminds me of what I want to do with a car like my wife's Ford Flex EcoBoost (which, bone-stock are slept-on imho). I think we need to see more of this sort of content, as it's more unique than another Subaru or Lancer build (which are rather common now by comparison). I think the only other thing I would upgrade (if it's not done already), is to drop a sound system in it with say, a pair of Kicker Solo-Barics in the trunk, and have some old school beats playing while you casually roll around town in a slammed slab. It's got that old 60's and 70's super sled vibe, with a more modern powertrain, brakes and suspension mods. Shout out to Zach for such a cool build. I gotta go drive my neighbor's Bullitt P71 now...

This is awesome! When I had my '93 Towncar I always wished it had a 5spd manual in it. In fact, if it had been equipped with a 5spd I would probably still have it. I sold it at 290k miles when the slush box crapped out. That car was a stealthmobile. I got so many other cars pulled over racing them. Cops straight up ignored the baby blue boat and would pull over the sporty cars even though I instigated the race and would be the one going faster when shot by the radar (though I'd lose if the cop had not intervened). Even took that car out to the desert through the washes with its higher ground clearance and cushy air ride rear suspension. I miss that car.

It's sick! My brother had one. That thing did the longest moving burnout I've ever done. 😂

My first car was a 71' El Camino. My dad had a mechanic shop. We did exactly what I wanted. Replaced the 270 hp 350 with a built 400. On the way to the paint shop, I totalled it showing off..
