Dang you deleted my comment about the seismic audio 62$ powered 12' woofer, i was hoping you'd test 1! Even shipped for free, in 3 days.

The guys who started US amps were pwr supply techs in Nam, and couldn't get a UL cert on their rack-mount amps, so they did it for autos, that didn't need it. Rock on! \m/

anyone know if these amps will actually make it up to 16 volt power input I read the specs but there's always a little room

i have lots of customers bringing me SKAR products to install, and generally they work fine, but i really wanna see these JP D4S amps at some point. our shop sells alpine, JL, rockford and memphis. sometimes its cool to get a 3kw amp and a pair of 15s lol. they dont always last though when its a really cheap brand.

Im actually swapping from the B2 Audio Riot 7500.1 to the jp83 on 8 Savard Hi Q 15s. Also, I'm swaping the DS18 1800.4 and DS18 3000.4 to the jp10.4 to run 8 DS18 PRO TW220 tweeters and 8 DS18 PRO X6.4M mids. Should have plenty of power

What setup do you suggest for my car equaling the power of 6 concert level speaker trees? P.S. I am not above towing a generator trailer. ✌️

one of the channels on my jp77 quit working after a few hours of playing, but other than that the amp sounds great for the price.

I’d like to see some destructive testing of products on this channel. Such as how hard can you push it before it catches on fire.

Very awesome amplifier. My only complaint is that I wish the output of the channels were more synchronized. Too much discrepancy will have one speaker sounding clean while the other slightly distorted. Not very safe.

How come this amp doesn't come with a cooling fan but the JP234 which is smaller does comes with one?

Whenever you put over 2k watts if amps in your vehicle it's common knowledge to replace your alternator... honestly you have to do the big 3 at that point.

Yeah first do the big 3 it’s the cheapest thing you can do that’ll help your electrical system then the bigger watt alternator you can even try to run a 2nd battery that might be cheaper Goodluck tho🤘🏽

The power numbers nowadays are ridiculous and I like it! I thought my MMATS Hifi 4250 had insane power for a 4-channel. (250 × 4 @ 4ohms, 400 × 4 @ 2 ohms stereo or 800 × 2 @ 4 ohms bridged) Nice work JP

@derekgardin1512, I guess you forgot that you can run speakers in series and parallel? Lots of people these days are running multi component systems. Ie... 2 or even 3 midrange speakers per door. Each set of midrange speakers can be tied together on one channel with an amp like this. Same with the tweeters and midbass speakers. Makes for less amps and easier wiring.

Nice amp. It makes my JP95 sad now.

I agree with several other comments. These class D amps have tons of power but they simply don’t sound as good as class A or AB. I guess it’s all in what you want. For example…a 75w per channel Alpine amplifier somehow seems to get a lot louder than 150watt per channel Taramps amplifier. It’s actually not. Taramps makes some powerful amps. If you check a db meter then you can see the Taramps is making a lot more noise. However, sound travels in waves. Kind of like circles. The more perfect the circle maintains when you hear it. The clearer the sound. I’m trying to say. Why would anyone want to amplify distortion?

I feel you. Truth is, the majority of people are not audiophiles. They don't care about the utmost sound quality. It doesn't matter to them, because they cannot perceive it nor have the desire to do so.

8 ohms bridged will give same power as 4 ohms stereo. Just add two of the channels together so for example if it’s 300x4 at 4 ohms, 8 ohms bridged would be 600x2

Maybe you see a lot of D4S products here because they are putting out decent stuff on a continuous basis. That's what this channel does, demonstrate new products that are affordable middle ground instead of always the extreme high end stuff.

No doubt this amp has it all. This business seems to be recession proof.

This amplifier uses alot of parts from the Pg Xenon amplifiers.

I have the mfa 4.320 it goes into protect at 15.5 so I can’t use the amp all year round and for me that stinks. So I just bought this amp instead

@@codeebebout-valentine6534 it’s definitely there 109 percent great sound quality and the amp is 12 inches wide by 6 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches thick. There is a dunk of it on you tube from deaf bonce and it puts out 408 watts at 12.8 volts

Nice power! I do wish they would consider bass knobs with these types of amps, i know its not necessarily intended for subs, but this could be a great option for some lower power subs. I think it would be great for powering some of the old-school subs! Great vid man

Did not the Hifonics Colossus VII (banned edition) have 2 Zeus boards in it, so ya shoulda just shown it instead lol!~ Still waiting on someone to do a 2Ω dyno on a Kicker CXA1200.1, only ever see the 1Ω tests which only proves it can do rated at 1Ω!~ John from Kicker said he would, then as a gutless employee backs down and goes to the engineering dept for answers which are not what are needed!~

Maybe suggest to JP to mimic a White Artwork PPI style on one of his with that old-school feel

Haha, nah, it's distortion and noise will be at its lowest at half power, so there is that already, plus the fact that not all music is recorded with zero dynamic range left, aka, recorded on the verge of clip. Having headroom isn't "not a bad thing", it's simply a must

@@minus3dbintheteens60 Seems people have forgotten this over the years that if you want the best SQ you have to run max 75% of the power and preferably 50%. But that's hard for people to swallow paying for 400 watts when they only want to run at 200. Power is cheaper then ever these days so it's not hard to do. The thing is, the SQ really isn't noticeable for average joe audio and most vehicles. That's why people are using all the power of the amps these days because they sound fine. If you want max SQ, you need to revamp the entire interior of most vehicles. Get them sound proof inside and out, rock solid neutral interior and that can cost just as much as the audio equipment deserving of such treatment.

You can't ignore JP's obvious good choices when it comes to his brand. Down4Sound is putting out a lot of good products for reasonable prices. This channel tends to promote the middle ground of car audio instead of catering to just the high end stuff. Majority of audio enthusiasts are middle ground. As long as the products being shown are valid and legit, I can't see your point for complaining.

2 Morel drivers. Off the top of my head the mdm85 can do 300wrms at 500hz, or 500wrms at 800hz and 1000wrms for 10ms ( I know the power is right, not 100% on the frequency though)

And he needs better equipment like used in pssound, we hear everything and the quality, he only uses a phone I believe

It's not over rated, it was rated at its lowest distortion point like it should. It was tested entirely differently, to show it in a favorable light. Now, why would over rating be a bad thing?

I have this feeling thesr amps DO NOT have the best sound quality, they're just powerful and loud. I CANT STAND the way digital amps sound, AND nearly all new head units too. The old class ab and older head units actually still sound so much better it aint even funny. Just my opinion though.
