Well quite honestly the younger crowd doesn't see custom like we do or did back when....if they can't bolt it on they stop right there. Unfortunately creativity is a dying art in the car world
Rolling Art .. surpasses the Mona Lisa ! Nice production , THANKS !
Brendon is an awesome dude! I remember getting to meet him after the long beach hipo swap meet and him sharing the build process with us and allowing me to go to his house and see it all. Even gave me some Hot Wheels that i still have today. Awesome dude with an awesome car. True hot rodder!

When I think of a gasser this is exactly what I envision.... It has the right stance, the white pipes, pie crust wheels, the right purpose built attitude.
It has so much old school Southern California vibe. Love this car. Thank you for sharing.

I can totally emphasise with the idea behind this build. The patina and the 1960s style lettering really add to the overall vintage look. Then adding all the cleanly freshness underneath is another layer of surprise. Really well done.
The production and quality of these videos is unmatched

Another creative Cali hot rodder makin' it happen in a tiny garage with a shiny floor, vintage bikes in the rafters and tons of tools and parts neatly organized and ready to rock. Awesome! And another awesomely-executed rodder profile Ben.
Started on mine 2002,,,Ol Skool Rodz Sept 2013 cover car.No radio, all Moon gauges,Late model stock car Winters Quick change, stroked 427,t/ram w/2 holleys, vertex mag, tilt glass frt. end. I understand how these cars take us back to our youthful longings. Great build,,,,,I get it!!!
Glad I got the rlc release of this car, thanks Brendan for all the sick designs
Awesome car......just seen the HotWheels version at the local grocery story here in Germany....now I got to go back and buy it.

That’s awesome!
It quickly became one of my favorite Hot Wheels, but it's awesome seeing how much heart truly went into this car.
WOW! What a fantastic build. I like everything about this car. Nice location for the shoot too.
This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing this. Keep on building man.
This brings back fond memories growing up in sixties of a black 57 Chevy and old Vette gassers that were a couple of blocks from my house. Hot rods were everywhere - Mopars , Chevys, Fords, Pontiac’s etc. and I had a few too! EVs are great but they will never stir my emotions like a good ol’ hotrod.
Sweet wheels. My brother just finished his dream car - 71 Nova SS with 4 speed / 12 bolt rebuilt with a 4 link rear suspension and a MONSTER 427 fuelie. 3.73 gears. He drives it like it was built to be run ... it's REALLY something (oh, exhaust cut-outs also) to have him launch that puppy when you're in it. Like the owner of this beauty he did most of the work himself, 80 hours of porting work in the heads alone.
Always IMPRESSED! Never surprised everything BV is associated with is BADASSERY!

Awesome 55 & Awesome video thank you for sharing. Today I'm driving from Wisconsin to California & all points between for about two months, while living in my van. Hopefully I'll see a lot of really nice vehicles while I'm on my trip. Thank you again Ben, for taking the time & sharing all the Kool Videos!
Exactly the type of stuff I grew up around thank you so much young man for you to be that young and still have interest in that old stuff is awesome
Four speed subscriber, but this is probably the first time I’ve watched a four speed vid that’s not featuring a Ford? Nevertheless, this 55 maintains the usual high standard of unique vehicles featured on Four Speed. Keep up the good work!

A guy in my H.S. had a 55' Chevy as his daily driver in the early-mid 70s. His younger brother in my class drove a 46' Plymouth coupe. Another guy had a 57 Chevy that he was always working on in the auto shop. Our printshop teacher drove a 65' GTO 4 speed convertible.
Being a Hot Wheels tester from way back in the day (before HW were on the market) I have that car in my collection. I kinda feel HW are PART of why I collect real cars now. That and frowing up in So cal it was hard NOT to be a car guy. Great video as always !!!!!! AA++

@@TypicalToyReviews While shopping with Mom a lady stopped us and asks Mom if her son like toy cars. I already had 40-50 Matchbox so she said 'Oh yes!'. We ended up in a room off the store where there were lots of Matchbox cars and more what we now know as Hot Wheels, a strip of track and a table. I was asked to try all the cars, track etc. They then interviewed me for a while. About 2 weeks later I got in the mail a few Hot Wheels cars, track and clamp and a letter thanking me. I still have the cars, track split and was tossed years ago. Thanks

I've been blessed to get one of Brendon's most famous creations, the pink RLC '55 Candy Striper Gasser! This is my first time listening to Mr. Vetuskey and he is not only a very down to Earth dude, but listening to him in that 6 min video.. he's very inspirational! When I started to drive at 16 yrs old I wanted a '55 Chevy so bad and after watching this & listening to Brendon.. It stokes the fire to make me want to pursue that dream again! His car is amazing and I'm not really a Gasser fan so that says a lot!! Looking forward to getting that new RLC Gasser this summer too! Thanks for sharing your passion and your talent my man!!

Great video!! Your videos have such great stories wrapped into them and any true car enthusiast appreciates the history! I'm only 24 and can't get enough of the classics. 🤙
Awesome video and a sweet 55 Chevy. Tri fives can pull off just about every style of build it feels like. Gasser, pro touring, stock, custom, etc. The classic lines and base bones of a tri five just work. Might be a bit biased as we have a couple of tri fives in the garage of varying build styles, lol.

I cant believe how much awesomeness is in this episode. For 1 you have a amazing build especially a gasser that not many people build anymore. You got Brendon that is such an amazing human being that the world and automotive industry needs more of and sets such a great example to live by. Then you got my dude Ben that is killing the YT Automotive content with his quality and story making capabilities. This was a great watch and worth every minute!

Forget all those fancy super cars...good old American muscle is where it's at and will always be!...American muscle is the survivalist/the hero/the mans mighty steed that breaths his fury leaving history behind his path and a sound you'll never forget like a myth burned into memory/time itself! 😎
Oh my god. The three yards plate. That is just so so perfect for a 55, never seen that before. Thats a deep cut.
Love your car! I grew up in Santa Rosa CA. my favorite movie is Two Lane Black Top! American Graffiti was fimed next door in Petaluma CA and some of the guys I grew up with worked on those cars. Peggy Sue Got Married was filmed in Petaluma and the High School in Santa Rosa was in the film..where I went to school. My 56 Chevy 150 utility sedan was in the film and I still have it...wish I had painted it the original olive drab and had the Pac Bell Logo air brushed on the doors. You did a great job on your build...kudos! ..LOL
This video makes me HAPPY!! Love it!
2 lane black top is my favorite car movie. This car is absolutely amazing. I can’t believe I just found this channel, but I’m in love. Glad to be here!

Man, Ben, you really do a fantastic job with these videos. I've done a bunch for my artwork, and one guy handling all that is quite an undertaking. You do scene-setting, rolling in-car, external rolling, internal and external detail shots. You have good sound. The cars and owners both make for interesting stories, and you do well getting the interviewee to express good material in their own words. Really cool music added in as well. I enjoy these videos and hope you keep making them.

Nice 55 chevy gasser very cool nice through back to the 60s and sounds awesome.
I love the weathered paint, yet the body is straight as arrow with no dings or dents. Too many people out there with "nice cars" yet they're riddled with dents and body damage
Bought the hotwheels model straight after watching....wish I had the real thing.

My first classic build will be a Gasser, they hold a special place in my heart. I remember being at a car show in Visalia (Shout out to the Vapor Trailers) with my Grandpa when I was like 7 or 8 years old and seeing a a Gassed up Falcon with wheelie bars and asking my Grandpa what they where there for. I'd never seen anything wheelie besides a tractor pulling a stump or a dirt bike so I was confused, until he left the car meet and pulled the front tires up! That completely sold me on hot rods. I've been hopelessly addicted to cars ever since, Thanks Gramps

As a pretty Die Hard Ford Guy, it’s hard for me to deny the beauty of a 55 Chev, they are “the” car. I’m not usually a gasser fan, most are overdone and cheap looking, but this car has the exact look! Makes me feel like a kid, watching Two-Lane Blacktop again, for the first time. What an amazing, well done automobile.
