It's a lovely set off coins, all the coins have really nice designs on them.

Beautiful set of coins & I think circulated coins show a bit of character rather than a year set. I think you’ve bought well but if you are in two minds you could always ⏩ to NEC as I believe he is knocking in 90 very soon

Well not too bad overall, I think you did OK, tbh! - I did some research and assuming some of the coins were not cleaned...I give my estimated values below! farthing : £1.50 1/2d : £1 1d : £5 (rim damage otherwise I'd have said £8-£10) 3d : £1 6d : £1.50 1/- : £2 1 florin - £25 1 crown - £5 The prices are not checked against recent sales, but not sure what anyone else thinks?

Wales not on the coins as it is a Principality (never had a king). It would be a good day to have all those coins in your pockets back then.

With such good condition the florin is worth £18 or more

The florin and 3d are nice coins.

It's a shame that you were misled over the quality of a couple of the coins, but the florin was worth more than the £10 you estimated. It was in really nice condition for its age, and because of its rarity, I'd say it was worth £20, maybe even £25 😉

😂😂 Not the hammer!😂😂 Nice set of coins ! I think they may be worth a bit more then stated. I've got absurdly such black coins, Will have to dip them in some viniger and salt then rinse to find out what they are ! You probably know that trick, viniger & some salt and stur well, pop in the coin (s) for accoupple of mins then rinse well and pat dry. Some of the coins I bought in a bag look like black paint is on them they're so dirty. Will be fun to find out what they are.

Like to see pre decimal coins I just about remember them being in circulation as I was born in1966

Nice video Paul, and sorry for being "late to the party". Is there another possible reason for the letter G appearing on the coins? I agree that the G on the 3d coin is probably after George Kruger Gray as it (the G that is!) is very small. Could the relatively "big" G in the centre of the reverse of the florin be a "G for George V"? And on the 2/6d, surely the pairs of interlocking Gs on the reverse are for King George? The pairs of Gs are, after all, topped of with a crown!

I am looking for a 1918 version of that card, not necessarily with the coins for the 1918 set I am putting together for a family member. If not I will have to invest in some sort of cutter and make my own. As a set though, this is a nice set of coins with some lower mintage coins

I'm interested in how you price coins. £1.50 for a 1932 Half Penny. I think that's excessive. I buy 400 for £10 from my local coin shop and get atleast a handful of this year in that condition. I'd like you to be right. What's your source of info on prices?

Hi Ashley, I know what you mean about the halfpenny, I have thousands of them and yes, you can buy them in bulk very cheaply. I get my prices by average selling prices on eBay. Go to eBay and search for 1932 halfpenny in "SOLD" items and you will see the halfpenny in the condition in my set is selling for around £1.50. I'm still suprised what I get for a common coin on ebay. Good close-up photographs matter.
