@@Mr.Ut21 Well there are modern .30 carbine options, sage even does a chassis for it. But the main limitation of the guns is the slow twist rate. If someone were to produce a barrel with a twist rate somewhere between 10-14 I think you could see the versatility of .30 carbine as an intermediary between 9mm and 5.56. it's overall length is shorter than 5.56. But with a faster twist rate and seismic's case/propellant design you could stabilize a heavy projectile close to the weight of 300blk and at a higher velocity. All while being within pistol cartridge length. But all that said if your limited to what is currently available, there are some replica M1s and modern alternatives.

For some reason I never noticed that this ammo uses a 2 piece case. Due to my state laws(CT) we can't have a threaded barrel in a pistol(unless you bought it before the most recent "assault weapon" ban, and registered it with the state as an assault weapon(yes, seriously)), so I don't have a 9mm suppresor, but I'd love to shoot this through a can. I'm also surprised at the velocity(I think he said 970fps out of a g19 or 17?) Most 147gr defensive rounds are right at 1000fps, though I can't remember if that's normal pressures or +P. My only concern is how small the difference in velocities that you get expansion vs. no expansion out of are too small, at least for a handgun. I think having this for a dedicated PCC/subgun round is the better option, particularly if you want something in 9mm that's as quiet as possible.

Well, its really high pressure rounds that cause wear and tear. +P and +P+ 9mm cause wear much faster than standard pressure .40. Over pressure ammunition has a much different POA/POI shift vs standard pressure. As well as more recoil. Which means people who carry 9mm should be practicing with ammunition that is +P/+P+ to get quality of practice rather than quantity. As a side note there is no such thing as +P/+P+ .40 S&W.

More weight to have to carry around in a 15 round mag. I’d rather have 85 grain 9mm projos leaving at 1800 ft pet sec. Just kidding, But figured it would make somebody upset reading that comment

Maybe but a 50gr 9mm projectile out of a Glock 17 at 2100 ft per sec won’t hurt your gun

@Dan Jett when you say 9x21 are you referring to the extra room from the hollow base and/or from the shorter projectile. Or is there another 9 chambering?

@Dan Jett interesting. I just started loading 9 about a year and a half ago. At one point loaded 100g .380 just for plinking rounds bc it was the only projectiles available Idk that I could do this though due to my pistols having stepped chambers.

The joke was funny. But it’s clearly not black. It’s gun metal grey

9mm guys have severe identity issues. ".40 & .45 are too snappy" 😭 "9mm hits just as hard as .40 & .45" Now it will be "185gr 9mm hits as hard as .40 but with a few more rounds" ever thought maybe you should learn to shoot better?!?! 😂😂😂

9mm guys are confident men that know what they have will get the job done and are badasses because their more than likely in a situation that will require The extra rounds. .40 guys are men that wish their dick was juuust a little bigger and if it were so, they could perform better. .45 guys are men with tiny dicks that want everyone to think their hung, and their also very cocky because they think they can get the job done with fewer shots because we all know the .45 is magical.
