You forget to switch on the GAU-8 emergency brake there :) Oh, and it's about 20% cooler to close the canopy on the takeoff roll ^^

Heads up to people: If you’d selected a load out after mission load, you’d have to program this into your dsms manually. It’s a classic mistake to fly to the AO and wonder why your loadout is broken.

I remember why I love starting the F-16, so much easier for a newbie like me 😂 still going to get the A-10 update though! Looks sick!

When I first operated the F-86 I thought it wasn't a full fledged DCS module because you only have to flip three switches to get going...

Cap. You forgot the pitot heating (and canopy). And second the INS can be loaded much quicker. It's not a full alignment but full enough because the A10 doesn't have INS drifting like other modules do. You do it like this. Just after the cdu is finished with its bit test press INS on the right bottom, then press ALT ALIGN on the left side and then press FAST on the right side. Now the INS alignment will be finished in 2 min instead of 4. So if you do the rearming first and then the manual startup you will be flying within 2,5 minutes.

My main is the FA18C but I was waiting for specials with intent on purchasing the A10C-II. Finally got it yesterday. When I got back to my FA18C, I noticed it was leaking oil from the engines........I think she was crying.....😢

Hey CAP radar altimeter is also useful to have on at startup

Good example why I don't trust any GR tutorial and why they (the tutorials) have such a bad reputation.

Thanks for jumping on this. Cap is always taking one for the team, making tutorial videos for all of us mouthbreathers while he could be actually flying the aircraft. The only question I have is are you going to label features which are only on the A-10C II as such? I could see someone who only has the old module getting confused why they don't have the HMD or APKWs.

Hi Cap, i was wondering about the weightlimit for planes. I assume this has to do with take-off. Could you however: load minimal fuel and max weight bombs and rockets. Then fly to nearby tanker and top off fuel? Going over the weightlimit while topping off?

It's purely a recommendation, planes do not have a hard limit of any kind in DCS.

Hi. I just got the A10C and I just noticed That I can't map the throttle engine start to my Thrustmaster. I use VR and RALt Home and RCntl Home is a bit awkward. All the other aircraft allow me to map the throttle uncage to my hotas throttles.Thank you.

EGI is pronounced eeh ghi, SAS is pronounced like a word, IFFCC is if-see CICU is like kick you, JTRS is jitters, EAC is ee-ack, the CAP is the caution annunciatior panel, and they’re MFCDs not just MFDs in the A-10 but those are just technicalities

right alt+home is not working for me

I just brought a10c2, and started to learning this aircraft. Startup is working almost as you showed, but one thing did not work for me. 4:39, EGI switch at the left panel is not switching on for me. What am i doing wrong?

Honestly, I thought I had to press a lot of buttons to start the F-18... this is a much longer procedure..

Buttons backlight do not work in F16 and A10 from patch to patch that is very strange.

How do you shift your body from left to right?

Could someone help me understand what the quick HOTAS Pinky Switch bit was about at the 2:55ish mark? Seemed rushed with no explanation. I press it and nothing seems to change?

Please please please help. I have tried everything to try to get the TAD page to not read NO NAV DATA. I have been struggling with this since I am doing everything correctly. Whenever i go into the ‘training’ option when you first open the game and I press the cold start option, the NO NAV DATA never appears and I am able to get everything working. The moment I step into an actual mission, the EAC and the NO NAV DATA are super annoying and haven’t worked once. Again, I’ve done everything the exact way as it is done with the instructor but it will not work for the life of me on a mission. Please give it a try and help ❤️

A lot for switches now start on the on position. Is that intentional from ED?

Need to be in OB. Also if you only got the upgrade you need to have the original A10C module installed as they share files for FM.

Boost Pumps are 1:16 in, and are now on by default in the A-10C II.

know its a bit late but you have to bind it somewhere in the general or ui layer settings, would recommend using some kind of face tracking at the least, vr at best. Although there are jank ways to do it like binding view controls to an xbox controller and using your HOTAS to fly
