9mm; .22-250; .223; 6.5 Creedmoor; .308 & .30-06 Thru Concrete Slabs

Спорт

Part two of evaluating how well some rifle rounds can penetrate concrete slabs using hollow point or soft point ammo. It requires a high energy round to do some real damage. A .223 just does not cut it!

Hey Bobcat that was very interesting and I was pulling for the 308 bought I know that the 22-250 was moving down the range fast and like they say speed kills . My friend you have some very nice bolt action rifles and you keep it interesting thanks a bunch till next time see ya

Robert, Thanks. I appreciate you viewing and you kind words. I am fortunate to have some fairly nice bolt action gun, not particularly expensive, but more of entry level guns. Those little bullets are really fast, but it seems for this video weight wins out over speed. But even the heavy bullets were moving right on. Thanks again and take care.

Good shooting out there! I thought that 30-06 would make it through for sure...not this time though. It's pretty amazing the amount of different there is between fmj and hp bullets.

TOFD G. Thanks. I agree, I thought for sure the .30-06 would plow right thru. I did shoot the Wolf .308 145 Gr FMJ, don't know what its fps is, but it did not do any better than the HP/Soft Point bullets. I still have a few pieces of concrete left, hope to hit it with some .30-06 FMJ and see what happens. Thanks again and take care.

I expected 3006 will go little more (available caliber in our country 😉) since it is a soft point bullet ...it does its job as it has to be mushroomed. In many other channels they show that the 6.5 creedmoor wins 3006 🤣🤣 Since 6.5 is a non available caliber in our country ...I was little shocked .. Now it's proved 6.5 cannot reach the heights 🤐 Again thanks for the crispy & informative video dear UNCLE.

Ajay, Thanks again. I appreciate your comments. With the ammo I shot the other day the calculated energy was a fair amount higher for the .30-06 at 2830 FPE vs the 6.5 at 2072 FPE. Not sure if this test was detailed enough to show the real difference between the two gun. Thanks again and hope you have a great week. Take care.

That 22-250 dumped that energy quite quickly compared to the .223, never experienced that round before but damn did it leave a bigger impact / hole in that block.
