Man Mac Addict was my refuge from school and asthma. A realm of imagination and joy.
It's official: I want to live eternity in a permanent time loop from 1980-2000 in the continental U.S. And be 14 years old the whole time... With my memories being the only thing that stays on each reset. Well, ok. Let's make it 1000 years and I'll have them check back with me to see if I changed my mind.

Hmm that's sounds very doable, like a twilight zone chapter. That reminds me of the movie Groundhog day, still a very apt theme. I can say you would get bored at the 5 year mark.
@TheDutchGhost

@@cawaboonga85 I think this option might be better; whenever life gets you down and you want to redo a part of your youth you have the option to go back anywhere within 1980 to 2000 (would be 1980 - 2007 for me) , at the age you want to be, whatever resources your need (but keep it sane so you can for example not do something like buy out Microsoft), and spend as long as you need there to feel good again and resume your normal life and age in the correct year when you are ready for it.

@@cawaboonga85 I know but we were talking about a hypothetical situation anyway. I guess the most I miss from those years/my youth other than the potential the future still seemed to hold was the feeling that games, movies, and so on gave me. These days I feel completely jaded, every day just being an extension of the previous day in which I feel unhappy most of the time. Most games no longer even have much of an impression on me more.

Well sonny you're in luck. Once you die, you're conscious mind is no longer bound to the confines of spacetime (just like before you were born). Billions of years passed before you arrived, and upon the moment of your death, billions more will pass until the inevitable death and subsequent rebirth of the universe, at which point time will unfold just as it has in the previous cycle. Eternity is with us. Heaven and hell are merely opposing concepts of how one chooses to live his or her own life. Let this be a reminder to live a life without limits. Fear today equals fear tomorrow. Treat others the way you wish to be treated.
THANKS! This helped me find Lode Runner: The Legend Returns xD. Been searching for it for like 4-5 years lol

Literally been trying to find Quagmire forever because I couldn't remember the name... and its the first game on here! This is so awesome!
#82! I've been trying to remember the name of this game for years! It feels so great to finally see it again. Diamonds 3D was featured as a demo in a Mac Addict (yeah, I'm dating myself now) mid 90s disc. I remembered thinking the game was so revolutionary with it seeming to be like a 3D Breakout game. Loved the music too. The interface reminded me of Marathon. Overall, thanks for bringing back some grand memories of the Mac PPC gaming days :-D
Wow this brought back so many memories - I haven't seen these games for probably 20 years. My dad used to download free demos on happypuppy back in the day. A lot of these games were a lot of fun, but I could've sworn I was the only one who ever played a lot of these seemingly random obscure games like macattack, deliverence, or power pete. I remember playing glider pro in school, so much fun. Great to see these again.

I'm pretty sure you're talking about the Mac version of the classic game 'Artillery', also called 'Artillery'. If you search on KZread for 'Apple Macintosh Longplay Artillery 2.0.2' you'll see some video footage. Is that the game you mean?

there were tears in my eyes watching this lol
Thanks! I think you can find some of these as abandonware on sites like Macintosh Garden. However, running them on Leopard will be a problem... you probably need some kind of emulator.
I'm rather surprised that Taskmaker and Tomb of the Taskmaker didn't make the list. None of Ray Dunakin's games made it, either. I know it's not a comprehensive list, but I thought those titles would have experienced a little more exposure. Still, fantastic list and a good three minutes and twenty-seven seconds of my childhood relived. Kudos!

Thanks, are you also familiar with the game Maniac? It was a pacman/hangman fused game. It was soo awesome. Also there is 1 game iv been searching for years, it was a little man with a jetpack that you had to fly through these maze like levels whilst avoiding obsticles that would kill you to reach the "exit door". From what i can remember from the look, it was very simple looking with just a black background. I know its vague, but if you ever played, iv been looking for this game ever since
I have to say that _Rebel Assault: Star Wars_ was way ahead of its time. Really amazing graphics for 1993. Kudos.

I agree; it was one of my favorite games back in the day.
I once played some kind of Wild West Game on my dads mac. You had to walk around a small town (screen by screen, very basic b&w graphics), with a doctor, a bank, gunsmith and so on. Sometime you would ecounter a bandito. If you was fast enough on clicking on his gun, you could arrest him or, if not, shoot him. At some point in this game some kind of "biss enemy" arrived by train. I was never able to beat him, cause my gun was too slow.
Apollo : you can see it in description, it's Lode Runner. I'm looking for 2 old games I remember getting as sharewares on magazines disc in the late 90's: First one was an isometer view tactic game. It was turn based, against computer (one or several AI). The rules were very simple : you kill a unit when you move on it's tile. There were soldiers that can move 1 tile per turn, knights that could move 2 tiles, and bowmen that can kill without moving. You get money based on size of territory...
OMFG LODE RUNNER! I've been trying to figure out what the hell that game was since I was, like, 5!
Shadiow Wraith... That first level theme still haunts me! And Sim Tower, and Spin Doctor (aka: Clockwerx), and the sim games (Sim City, Sim Tower, and Sim Ant) and a shit ton more lol. I miss Mac OS7
I also have a game that i have been looking for. When i was in middle school (1994 - 1997) there was a game that my buddy played on a Mac in the computer lab. All i remember is that it was a sci fi, first person adventure game. In one scene you had to gain passage on a space ship and then ended up working in the boiler room. Not much to go on so i appreciate any suggestions. Thanks for putting together these videos!

Same,but beofre school
LAPD: Future Cop was EPIC, and so much more epic on splitscreen PSX !!! Virtually unplayable on PC/Mac network.
Second one : it was more like a puzzle/arcade game, on a square grid. Every turn you had to put a dinosaur on the game area, but some dinosaurs eat each other following certain rules (like flying ones could fly several tiles to eat their target, diplodocus could only eat herbs etc.), and your aim was to keep a full food cycle alive on the area.
there was the one game that were on my school's macs in elementary school during the early 2000's. It was like an educational game about fish and underwater creatures and I remember there being like a yellow robot in the menu or something.

I'm trying to remember the name of an old mac game, if anyone wants to help :) It's a competitive game where 2-4 characters face off. The camera looks down on what is happening and doesn't really move much. You and the other characters are sitting on little platforms and you have rings of small bubbles surrounding you, for protection. The players have to bounce a ball around between them and it will break those small bubbles protecting you. Each player has a paddle that can reflect the ball which they use to try and keep their bubble barriers from popping.

That's a sweet memory! I really liked Spectre too.
Mac system 7 games had the personality of one developer. SImple enough games, but had a certain charm because of coming from one guy. Shufflepuck Cafe was one of them. It's here on youtube.

It's "Deliverance" (also known as Deliverance: Stormlord II); it was also released for the Amiga.

Syndicate, followed by Descent.
Legend of Kyrandia: Book One
I found this one after hours of checking screenshots :-) It's lost souls by Richard White. Still no clue about the other one with dinosaurs.
Monkey Island 2 (1:28), followed by Bubble Trouble (1:29)
