Walmart cracked down on that really hard. Look at the Power Acoustik RZR2500 they sell, Walmart made them put the RMS ratings on it and put "peak" on the 2500 rating. I have a lot of respect for Walmart as of late, from the farms they own to produce Great Value dairy products to their pharmacies fighting opioid addiction by limiting how many you can get a time to forcing honest ratings on stuff. They're at least trying.

If only they would have added a way to connect to stream via BT...maybe the next version? No doubt these amps are a top value and although I don't usually recommend extended warranty's, on this one it's a no brainer. Pay the extra $8, if you don't , then you are the big dummy

I never had any issues with Jensen amps back in the day till I upgraded to the big boy stuff. I'm surprised they are made by dual they were notoriously overrated Jensen has always been solid on their output numbers

@@mesanders1113 They had good power. My buddy bridged a Jensen amp a seperate crossover on a single 12 in a home made bandpass. That sub beat for years til he upgraded the whole system to Pioneer IMP.

I’ve always loved their loudspeakers in guitar amps. They’ve been around a long time. I ran some 6x9’s and in the 90’s that sounded great. These newer dynos make me want to try them in a budget build

I just ordered two of these with extended warranty for my semi install after watching this video today. ive always like to take budget brands and install as proper as possible to impress myself and show others,(you don't need to spend thousands) to get nice sound...on that same note im a fogate and orion enthusiast...of course I spent high dollar on my daughters newer car..

I had a Jensen amp back in the early 90's. I could drive from Norfolk, Va to Macon,Ga and that amp never cut off! Beating the whole 8 hour drive!

The laughter mixed with get extended warranty for $8 and wire it at .25 ohm was great. Got me thinking hard tho. Especially when I can get employees discount on one. Great video. ✌

I got the razor 2500 amp he tested there with the warranty. It was under $100 with my wife’s discount and doesn’t clip till almost 800 on 2 ohms

I bought this based on your video. It replaced a Massive Audio BL2-M and is powering a Massive BG8 (loaded enclosure with a GTX84). This amp is so much better than the BL2-M and made the GTX84 come alive! I wanted to love the Massive amp, but I believe they are overrated. I love, love, love being able to adjust the settings via my phone.

Ive been running the two channel for over two months now and it is a really nice amp.

I loved this video and in my search for the amp, they're easy to find, I came across the JENSEN XDA94RB Class D 4 Channel Amplifier. Would love to see the dyno on this matching 4 channel! Thanks and keep up the great work!

JENSEN has always been good brand :) I still have a picture with me when I was a teenager next to my old school 10 in Jensen bandpass subwoofer box that you could buy at Target and then my old friend at a Jensen 300 watt amps and it sound and then my old friend at a Jensen 300 watt amp with a built subwoofer enclosure as well it sounded amazing this was all back in 2004.

3 years later I still have the old 2 channel one in my tow truck running a 10 inch sub, so the longevity isn't bad at all.

I just installed one of the 4 channel on a HD Street Glide.... Gotta say I'm impressed....clean 100x4 and the little DSP is great....

I used to run 4 Pyramid Pro 10" subs off a $100 Jensen amp from Walmart in my '85 Dodge Daytona. This was damn near 20 years ago though. That shit hit harder than some peoples systems they spent 10x more on. I'm a firm believer that you can make crap sound good if it's installed and setup correctly. If a cop on the other side of a highway tells you to turn it down over the loudspeaker, you gotta be doing something right.

When I seen this at Walmart. I laughed. I immediately thought of the cheap sparkomatic and audiovox amplifiers that were the cheapo electronics in my day you could buy at Kmart. And even thought Jensen wasn't even in business anymore! I gotta admit I'm thoroughly impressed with the results and options. I don't know how good the sound quality is. But for everything this amplifier has. It's a really good bargain. Would love to see sound quality on set of subs comparing to kicker, alpine, jbl, mtx,etc. With same power ratings

I just watched a Big D video on an old RF Power 100.. fuckin thing barely put out about 15W per channel.. @ about 500$. Its crazy how much car audio has changed over the past 30 yes. The power to dollar ratio has significantly changed over the years.. I'm glad to see budget companies like Dual, Rockville, and Hifonics offering some really good gems, for the budget consumer !

I just purchased the smaller one did perfect for a single 12" especially for the $60+ like $6-8 for the extended warranty.

I’m running 2 kicker L7 10” 600 watts rms apiece and this little amp is really pushing these things. I’m gonna put another one in so each sub has its own. I’m impressed with this thing. No distortion. With two of them I can run em parallel and get down to the 1 ohm load.

I recently got one gifted from a friend after my old alpine amp died, and I was super skeptical because my alpine was a pretty big amp, and the fusing was way off, brother that thing earned my respect, we were giggling like little girls how stupid loud that amp is, it's hilarious how loud that thing is and to see the reaction if people when they see I'm running a Walmart sub amp🤣🤦🏻‍♂️

Bro i love these. Used to run this amp and 4 channel jensen amp on my old Colorado. The dsp was great and very easy to understand, i wonder if it could do 2 12s

I have daily run the Dual series of amps. All I can tell you is that 99.1 % of the populace is going to love it. I ran it for a whole year. NOT A HICCUP! It just works day in and day out. Sounds great while doing it as well. Not one overheat either. And it was just sitting underneath the seat on carpet. Just buy a few. You will be sad once these are gone. I'm still working out on what parts to upgrade on the amp to Eek a bit more fidelity from the circuit. I'm kind of wanting to send one to BareVids to see if he can work out some upgrades. I have to agree, if these range of amps had a Bluetooth input? There would be NONE in stock. Still, this leave you the option to install any Outboard DAC of your choice. And this also means it sort of future proofs it. Just what you need. Nothing you don't. I do worry about the APP not being supported one day via new phones. But that's a LONG way off.

Back in the 90s, an amp putting up these numbers was extremely expensive and the amp itself was fuckin huge. Jensen made good products back then and today looks like dual/jensen still making good stuff.

I got the 600watt,on the Jensen J12W, in a sealed. Sounds great for a car with a baby seat

I literally just bought this amp last night and installed it.... Jensen has outdone themselves. My two 12inch Sony xplod subs are hitting harder than a linebacker blitz. Highly recommend this mono amplifier.

I've had mine for 8mo. now and I'm seriously like wtf?! I had the 2 channel I got for free, my wife uses it in her car now. Been running strong for over a year. Insane quality for the cash.

I have mine hooked up to 10" Audio legion 600rms sub. This amp is legit!

I got the 4ch version pushing a pair of Morel 502s in the front and a pair of Infinity Ref-5302s in the soundbar of muh jeep and I can honestly say, I am not disappointed.

Does yours do a hissing noise at all? My gains are really low, if I go higher than 7 my speakers distorts so it’s not set high, but I always hear a noise coming from the speakers, even with the RCAs unplugged lol I’m at a loss.

@@jgarcia1925 No hissing noise but if I have it on low volume, like barley audible, the audio signal cuts in and out. Doesn't happen when vol is at normal or high levels so not much of an issue. I'd check your grounds and make sure they are clean. Dirty ground can cause all sorts of interference. Also make sure the RCAs don't run next to the power wire. good luck.

@@soggyfries4347 thanks. That’s what I’m experiencing exactly. I redid the ground yesterday, didn’t change it. I was then playing with the blower motor setting in the car. I noticed that when on high speeds, that hiss or noise was almost twice as loud and sorta cut in and out. I ended up moving the wiring to the back of the stereo away and the crossover for my speakers as far as I could and noise is most gone. I can’t complain I guess. Sounds like that’s just how these amps are then. I have the exact same issues you mentioned.

The blue tooth gain and crossover settings is pretty damn cool. Im not sure if big time brands have started doing that yet but thats a really good idea. Plus the adjustable led colors? I like to show off my gear so Im not sure I can display Walmart stuff in my truck, but if Jl or Alpine were to start using these features I would buy them in a quick beat.

Snagged one of these today for 89$ before tax. Running two ts-w261d4's at 1 ohm. They need 350rms. Worried about the sn/r at 68% but sounds good so far.

I love the video and everything you have done, however, a lot of families are being put in very real situations where they can't afford housing or food for their families. If you can, donate to your local food bank and/or local charities to help insure these families that have been put out by covid have a meal to eat or a shelter to stay in. I've been fortunate to be in one of the industries that has seen a rise in production after covid and I think it's more important now than ever to serve our local communities and those in need. It sounds ok on a big stereo, cell phones crackle when they play it

You should test the crunch pk.1000.2, around 300w for 60$. Not to mention it sounds pretty good, just have problems with it overheating when driven too hard.

Im very intrigued by the Soundstream Reserve RSM4.1200D. It's a Class D with RCA inputs, super compact and claims 75W RMS x4 @ 4ohms and 300W Peak. Only $140. Would love to see this tested.

I just bought an infinity kappa 8" 800/1600 watt sub for the rear deck of my grand marquis. What amp do you recommend? Id like one with the dash mounted remote.

That really is a kick ass amp for the price!

People are always impressed by this amp when they hear it, I've got it pushing 2 Sony Xplod 12s at 2 ohms, we dyno'd my amp at about 524 watts, so 262 watts going to each 12, and they are pretty damn loud....everyone always hates on this amp at first, but I've converted every critic to a believer with this amp. I'm gonna be swapping out to 2 JL Audio 12w0v3 subs using the same amp, I'm betting those subs will sound even better!!

This amp is never on the shelf at the Walmart I go to I have looked once a week for a month there is a sticker price but no amp the 82 always on shelf as far as I can tell this amp must fly off the shelf or never get stocked back up by Walmart.👌✌️👍 Great video

Try a toro mr2 500 rms @ 1 ohm. Big d did a video on it. You would love it. Does make over 500 rms @ 1 ohm. I just killed 2 rockford 10's with it. The amp is the size of a smart phone.

Anyone remember the chrome blue Jensen XS Bass 12in subs? Those subs sure could take a beating and still keep going. Even though they were cheap. Great starter subs. This Jensen amp is an excellent starter amp. Would make a great pairing with those subs if they still made that particular model.

Yeah they actually sounded really good musically. They realistically wouldn't handle more than 100 watts. I had six of them in a custom ported box but I didn't have enough amp to push them like they wanted to be pushed. They were probably getting maybe 25 watts a piece. Sounded nice though. This is back before I knew not to push vocals through them. I wrecked that truck, and the bank repoed it so I have no idea what happened to all that shit. I woke up in a hospital a couple days later.

Had 2 of them, still have the one I ran in 3 or4 different cars. Hit like a mf’er in a good box. Paid 40 for 2 subs. And it loves about 500 watts continuously. Had JL’s, Rockford s, JBL’s, and I love a great bargain .

@@thomasbradian6367 I had two of those subs. One was put in a sealed box for my friends BMW X5 that I ran a JBL amp to. Was pushing 325 watts RMS at 4 ohms. He never blew it up and it sounded good. I’ve had all sorts of subs over the years, JL, JBL, Kicker. Look I paid 25 for each sub. I would consider that a good deal.

Gonna snag one of these to push a pair of MTX 2Ω subs at 1Ω rated at 250W RMS each.n this is a perfect match for those 10" drivers.

Was thinking about running this with a Jensen 12 sub and my dual stereo plus I have kicker 6.5 in the doors in my Silverado crew cab the truck is a 06 1500

I used this for a couple weeks and it was nice for what it was. If you didn’t have to actually have the phone connected to Bluetooth to be able to listen to music it would’ve been great. Bluetooth off on your phone = no music. The BT DSP should’ve been just for making adjustments.

Can you tell me what you had your gain at? My dd1 shows clipping at anything over 3

I know this is an old video but at what power level was these tests done on im running a 1ohm 600 watt rms sub and trying to figure out where i should put the power level to get close to it

Id like to see some amp dynos at 20hz to see which amps hit the lowest lows and which ones fall on their faces. Ive heard pretty powerful amps that push their power at 45hz but can't push anything when I throw a 10 or 15hz signal at them. All of my old school amps pushed really hard at 10-20hz and really made my subs flex. These newer amps you find at places like best buy slam at 40-45hz but suck at ultra low notes. Looking for something that pushes an honest 1200-1300 watts that will still push sub 20hz power. My jbl 1001ez rated at 1000rms pushes an honest 1300 watts but really doesn't push below 20hz like my old 75wx2 phoenix gold XS2150 did on the same subs.

Wish I had friends that appreciate good sound systems. I'd share the shiznet out of these vids yo.

How does a person use the dsp app when running TWO of these amps, with one smart phone? How does that work? Or will it at all?

Any ideal why this amp use to come with 30amp×2 fuses and now it comes 25×2 fuses? So weird... maybe it use to blow up so they lowered the ampage? Even on the back of my box says 30x2 and shows 2 green fuses on the picture but it came with 25s in it.

I wonder if the max ratings is with dynamic test,gain way up ,bass boost to the max and at 1ohm.Also to lessen the stress on amp have frequency ceiling at around 50hz(right about where the bass boost frequency is).

So how can I make this amp work I'm 2 ohm 400 watt mode? From my understanding it doest matter on if I put the speaker wires on one side or I guess I would say bridged but it's a mono block so this is no bridge mode?
