Caiù approved, she was checking on the process and making sure all was going well. She also did a sleep test to make sure it was comfortable. That floor is looking wonderful, it will get better as time goes on. As always, excellent work!

Wow! Vince, I never cease to be amazed by how hard you will work to get a perfect result. The floor is simply beautiful. The shots at the end show a real appreciation for material used. I can imagine you and Maddi sitting in your living room, just relaxing, and both of you glancing at how the wall interacts with the floor, or how the light plays with the texture of the floor. The terracotta is such a lot of work to complete, but the result is unmatched by any modern tile.

Just seeing the floor before putting the grout down, it didn't look bad but after, what a difference. So much nicer. Looks more complete. At least you only have to do it this one time. What a transformation for the whole house has been. Great work to both of you.

I like the shots in this video, especially the extreme close-ups and overheads. To the extent that your new tiles lack some of the aged character of the reclaimed ones, your choice of the herringbone pattern maintains the visual interest of the floor throughout the home. It's stunning! Can't wait to see the final result. I was thinking about your process here... A cultural critic once said that the problem with late moderns is not that we are "too materialistic" but that we are "not materialistic enough." By that, he meant that we acquire, consume, and discard objects without investing them with any real meaning (aside from manufactured meaning through advertising). This project has undoubtedly been a lot of work, but every part of this house has a story, meaning, and memories to be cherished. Thank you for bringing us along for the ride!

Лак нужен акриловый, не масло. Масло будет высыхать всегда.

Como siempre...eficiencia y efectividad...lo que me preocupa es tu espalda y el excesivo trabajo.....

Wish i could teach you (as a pastry chef) how to hold and use the pastry bag more practically and effectively. 😂😂 Hate to see you precing in all the wrong spots ,making it harder for you. Either way you both are the living example to "where there is a will there is always a way". Great work

@@ateliermavi So its always better when you push from the top of the bag. If you are pushing from the middle part of the bag , most of the material is going back up, and not downwards. If you have to push from the middle,make sure you are making a very tight stop with your fingers. Also... Always pushing with your "good" hand from the top and guiding with your "bad" hand close to the tip. This will might feel more difficult when starting but gets really efficient once you fell comfortable with it. Did some stone walls my self at my place and piping bag skils came really handy..😁😁

I don’t think you should be dissatisfied with it, I think it looks mellow and a little aged.

Czy nie dałoby się tej terakoty wyczyścić myjką z odkurzaczem do prania tapicerki samochodowej?//Can't this terracotta be cleaned with a washer and vacuum cleaner designed for washing car upholstery? 🤠 Po polsku na taką mozolną pracę mówimy: "mrówcza praca" - szacunek za pracowitość! //In Polish we call such hard work: "ant work" - respect for your diligence!
