Can you swap a 6 gauge 01-04 into a 4 gauge 04?

Yes, that is where that 01-04 cluster came from. It was in a base model 03 truck and I swapped in a 01 6 gauge model. But I would try to get one from the same year just incase.

@@call_me_danger And, is there anyway to change the mileage on the used cluster? Also, will it say service 4wd if I pull one from a 4x4 even though my truck is 2wd?

Yes there was, I had several members of a dodge Dakota group ask what the differences were between pre facelift and facelift gen2 clusters, and what and how the backlighting works. I believe all of that was explained in the video but I guess it wasn’t simple enough for you.
