You two would love Koh Tao especially the underwater world 🤿 Just make sure to take motion sickness pill before you hop on the speedboat 😁

I remember when I got PADI open water licence in Koh Tao in 2005, The island looks different than what it looks like these days. Koh Tao is worth visiting absolutely and I want to be there someday soon.

LBD is an amazing scuba diving school. I was fortunate to get certified through them. What a trip down memory lane. The test and schooling has to be taken seriously. Nevermind the butterflies of diving, I remember how nervous I was for the final computer test. :) I proudly wear my LBD graduation t-shirt when I'm out in Amsterdam. Thanks Flora and Note for showing us what the diving school experience is like.

So cool.... What a great feeling to be underwater. I still can remember this sensation of being pretty much weightless from many years ago when I tried diving in Malaysia. Would love to do it again someday. Really missing you guys. Have fun :)

So beautiful. I finally landed in Thailand from USA. I have to mandatory Quarantine for 1 day here in Pattaya for my test & go. The roam around Pattaya for 2 days, then to Chiang Mai for 5 days, then back to Pattaya for new years for 4 days, then to Koh Samui for 4 days, and then too Bangkok for the rest of my stay til I fly back.

@@FloraandNoteI loved diving the Andaman Sea. I don't remember the exact locations - mostly remote islands - but I went with Kon-Tiki diving in Ao Nang and they were fantastic. Also try to dive the Similan Islands - amazing visibility and sea life!

Absolutely amazing guys well done to you both and I think Brian is a very good teacher and him being Scottish makes it even better Brian is the 1st person I've I've heart in Thailand talking in his own accent most others try to talk in a broken accent to fit in thank you for sharing I'm loving your videos

I went to Big Blue for my certs on the island. What a wonderful experience. I remember more fish and slightly more blue colour to the water. Regardless it's amazing. Thanks for the memories.

Thanks Drew! We had an amazing time and it definitely shows in the video 😆We didn't notice anyone on jetskis .. perhaps on the other side of the island there might be some. It was actually great that we could do everything digitally - all the course material and exams were online so we didn't have to print anything on paper!

Wow looked like an awesome dive class. Way easier than the USA. We had to do 100 laps in the pool. Our test on last day. Drop our dive gear off the boat. Jump in and put it on under water. Then swim a quarter mile and recover a dumby body and bring it back to the boat.

We recommend staying around Mae Haad and Sairee .. lots of places open there :) We didn’t get to try it this time but The Whitening restaurant looked amazing and right on the beach too. Enjoy your time in Koh Tao!

Hi I’m just hoping for some advice if you don’t mind please. Is the PADI open water ok for someone diving for the first time? Or is it a bit more advanced that you’d be expected to have dived a few times before? Great videos btw, love watching your content! 😊

The Open Water is for beginners, it's the first level so you don't need prior experience. It's a lot of studying and training but so worth it! If you wanted to try out diving before committing to a 3 day course, they should also have a discovery dive program you can check out too. However, you don't get any certification for that course.

We went to the counter to book the tickets (one day before).. it’s the pier in Bangrak next to KOB Cafe by the Sea. They shut down the Maenam pier for now. But our friend did buy his tickets on the website … maybe can try giving them a call too.

Thanks for sharing this great location to learn scuba. This is for sure on my list for my next visit to Thailand. Wondering what time of the year you two did this?

Awesome to hear! La Bombona was such a fun experience :) We did this around mid December. March/April should be even better for visibility underwater.
