Look up Sam Lake, one of Remedy's top devs, lead writer/Narrative desinger (last I checked) he has a unique sense of humor. If you've ever played Max Payne 1 you've seen him, it was his face on the char. model lol. Love Remedy games, still holding out some hope that we eventually get an Alan Wake sequel/spiritual successor/Prequel, something AW! Control looks great so far.

This game is pretty incredible. The docs you pick up are so well done. Also Darling's acting might be the best part. The building morphing is some of the coolest shit I've seen
I’m just saying.. been playing control now for about 5 hours.. I am in love with this game.. the crazy almost mind altering weirdness of all the characters & the oldest house is REALLY tripping me out. Love the combat as well. It’s great. Everybody needs to play this game
Love and look forward to rapid questions every month!
These rapid fire interviews are the best thing on KZread. I wish they had been happening for years, so there was a giant backlog I could binge-watch.
Perfect interview: equal parts silly, funny and informative. And idk why exactly but this interview made me more excited for the game.

Rapid fire interviews are your new jam now Game Informer. Control is a low key one on my radar but still I love this style of interviewing.

I'm so hyped for this. It looks extremely intriguing. Plus that rapid fire interview felt like 200 questions shockingly its only 94.
Kudos to GI for making an entertaining AND informative format. I love these.
These interviews are the best!! You can't spell Love without Leo V!
I love these interviews so much
You guys always do great work with these interviews
8:01 So perfectly put. I think it starts out as a quasi-horror game and becomes less so at an inverse correlation to the character progression as you develop that power to basically Magneto everything in your path. (But the fact that they were self aware about this was something that helped make its design aesthetic so effective.) Rant: Incidentally I think this is also why so many horror games with combat components lose a lot of tension once you get a shotgun. It's tricky to do something between the more modern school of horror games (Amnesia, Outlast, etc) that have no combat at all and thus imo lose some dynamicity in gameplay, and the older school of horror games that have a lot of action so once you get better weapons like shotguns and flamethrowers the horror disappears. Of course the early Silent Hill games were really effective at straddling that line; the best I've seen in the last few years was The Assignment and The Consequence DLC for The Evil Within 1. You rarely use a gun but your flashlight performs a lot of gun-like functions which I thought was super cool and made for really solid horror gameplay.
Holy shit that guy was so serious but somehow the interviene was funny
I love these interviews. I get so much info out of them even with all the silly stuff
It’s really interesting to learn that this guy also worked on mad max. That and control are two of my favorite games.

I bought the Quantum Break Timeless collector edition for PC, it had a Beautifully designed diary in it, Remedy covered their entire journey in it. They explained why they had to sell Max Payne rights to 3D Realms and 2K. Despite being in this industry for almost 20 years now, they are still somewhat of a small independent yet super talented studio consisting of 50 odd people. They have to work on an idea than pitch that idea to bigger publishers. If a particular game such as Quantum Break didn't do well in terms of sale, they'd be unable to continue with the franchise. Microsoft is not Sony! If you can remember, Killzone 1 was a terrible game but Sony gave Guerilla Games a second chance and later on that studio did wonders by creating masterpieces such as Killzone 2,3 and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Yeah...except, you know, it's the exact same game Remedy has been making for the past 18 years and the same one they released has a web series with short gameplay parts on X1 and PC.
@DragonBallG69
5 жыл бұрын
Strider Zessei a game doesn't have to have violence and explicit language to deal in maturity. Presentation and/or themes alone can carry a game into mature territory. The Last Guardian is one random example that comes to mind. There's extremely minimal violence and no course language to think of, but it's definitely not a game for children.
@StriderZessei
5 жыл бұрын
@@DragonBallG69 that's true, but for some reason, the ESRB doesn't take such things into account when rating a game; they only look at things like nudity, language, etc.
@DragonBallG69

Strider Zessei yea here in Australia we get 'Mature Themes' on the classification label, but it's literally meaningless as pretty much all games warrant it.
"Can you make with your mouth the volume that my PS4 fan will be at playing this game?" What a great question.
