How To Change The Rear Wheel Bearings on Your 1994-2001 Yamaha YZ125
Before you start this service, throw your bearing kit in the freezer for a few hours. Removing the rear wheel bearings does require fire, so arrange your workspace accordingly!

are the two rear wheel bearings on a 2000 yz125 different sized in diameter but have the same inner diameter for the collar?

I have a 96 yz125 and my rear wheel has a ribbed race in it on the sprocket side thats rusted I have never seen this before I work on newer bikes typically but I’ve heard from someone that it has to be taken out in order for the new bearings to go in also I ordered the bearings and all three are the same size is this correct?

Yes, all 3 bearings are the same size. That model year has a dust cover over the sprocket side bearing, is that what you are describing? If it is, yes, it needs to be removed.

@@Fixyourdirtbike just took mine out for the first time. Didn't have a center spacer 🤔. 2001 yz250 idk if it needs one or not. Only seals and bearings came out
