So interesting… so many questions for them. I love learning about others beliefs, it’s extra interesting to hear beliefs of a branch of my own. The stone rolls forth… and one day, eventually, we will all know. And bend the knee, and confess Jesus is the Christ.

Let me know what questions you have. I plan to do a livestream after the interview, and I'll try to answer them (and perhaps contact Ann & Dan if I need to.)

In 1971 Gerald received the blessing from George Maycock who told him to speak with Rulon to receive his mission. There's indications in Gerald's account that when he visited Rulon he was secretly made a member of the Council of Friends. Although there are those in the Branch who don't believe that happened until 1976 I personally can't see how he'd just sit on something like that for 5 years. Whatever the case he claimed to be a secret member of the Council before Rulon's death. If I understand correctly he had the Second Elder position, which means that on Rulon's death he automatically assumed authority. The blessing Rulon conferred to on his death had to do with his mission as the One Like Unto Moses.

Gerald claimed Rulon appeared to him as a spirit (not a resurrected being) in his office within a few hours of Rulon's death, which was on the upper floor of the Knight-Mangum mansion. I've been told Ogden Kraut rejected Gerald's claims because he didn't believe it passed the handshake test. Gerald said at one point during the blessing the phone rang and he went to pick it up but Rulon's spirit pushed him back into the chair. Ogden didn't believe a spirit was capable of doing such a thing.

My camera accidentally focused on the Star of David behind Ann so I didn't know my guests were out of focus. Sorry about that. I wish I had a camera operator to check stuff like that.

I like Paul's letter to the Corinthians at 1 Corinthians 1: 11-19 I think we should just follow Yeshua Messiah and not man.

False dichotomy. All restorationists follow yeshua.
