Paul from Canada here, the guy mentioned in the description. It's 2.5 years later and I just watched this for the first time in a long time. I can tell you that this car and its driver, Simon, were superior to all that weekend. I rode in Porsche GT-3s and a bunch of different BMWs, one of which I drove, and no one came close to the mastery of this gentleman. I couldn't believe this car wasn't flying right off the road -- why I'm screaming like a teenage girl most of the way through!

Hah, I'd love to, Simon. But the world's a big place and my funds are limited. Next trip for me will be taking my Super Enduro to Moab, Utah with fellow knuckleheads in April. But I assure you the adrenaline residue from that Nurburgring lap keeps a permanent apartment in my soul.

Man I’m screaming the same way you are just watching the video! Haha. I really want to go to Nürburgring some day and if I do a ride along I hope I’m lucky enough to go with a guy and car like Simon and his Supra. That’s definitely gotta be the thrill of a lifetime. To be honest I hope to drive it myself too though. No idea what I’d drive but I kinda have a fantasy of shipping my 89 Toyota Pickup 2wd over there and giving it all she’s got lol. Awesome video, amazing car, unbelievable driving skill, and all the yelling just makes it more fun and exciting to watch!

My brother in his supra, was fast now broken for parts.

any time someone tries to tell me supra's are only drag and handle like shit.. ima show them this.. It looks like this car is stock body... no crazy wide kit. and only has a upgraded wing and front bumper canards.. obviously hes got suspension work and tires and brakes.. but thats basically what everyone puts on their car. I always take my supra out in canyon driving and i love it. all i have is coil overs and slotted rotors and the thing hugs the road so good. people underestimate this car. but also the driver is the main key here. but there is a reason why hes been driving this car so long.

Nothing quite like doing a lap with Simon - except going out in the Merc van you see Simon overtaking at 1:05 - now that is really scary! You are so high and he is pretty quick all things considered, so that you're only thought is "We're going to tip over any time now, or now, or now, unless the brakes give out and then tipping over is the least of our worries." Thankfully when you're with Simon there's no time to think about anything much...

I did a 7;40 btg lap on that trip, its in my vids.

I think there should be 2 steering wheels- one for each front wheel. This will bring new life to the sport. Just sayin'.
