Most of the leading youtube podcasts/channels (ali abdaal, iman gadzi, etc) on productivity are purely dunya based. Allhamdulillah this is a breath of fresh air from islamic perspective. May Allah put barakah in our time and efforts.

Alhamdulillah i see the brother Muhammad Al Andalusi starting with a similar type of content InshaAllah. May Allah make him firm and upright. This podcast form is obviously good too but the attention span has become so bad that people only take knowledge from shorter videos. There are also some young brothers doing productivity/self improvement content with an Islamic twist, which is good May Allah reward them, but they lack the knowledge and experience of an older person that has seen more and lived longer. So yea, my bet with this Islamic productivity content is with the brother Muhammad InshaAllah. May Allah make us successful

Subhan Allah, ustadh Imran saved me on my major which I thought if quitting because I did not have passion for it. But he broke that idea of mine. Chai with my bhai is not a podcast without ustadh Imran❤ (exaggeration, but just emphasizing. Others are really good too)

33:46 This is a very important point actually. I have been thinking about it recently because I have been thinking about free-will when giving dawah. We don't just use our logic to reason, but also our emotions. We use the mind and the heart. There were things I loved that were bad for me and I disliked that were good for me. By the time I learned that keeping the beard wasn't just any sunnah, but it extends from the covenant of Ibrahim (AS) like the circumcision, that it was a wajib sunnah, I had already disassociated from using music. Thus I knew I could learn to like it. Why did I disassociate from music? In grade 11 I was learning how people use music in advertisements to push a message forward. We can be emotionally manipulated based on our feeling, so what is important is how it is being used to motivate people or what it is being used to motivate people towards. Should I follow bad advice if it sounds nice and comes with music instruments? NO! In the same way I don't want alcohol ruining my mind and I knew it was a major sin. Why would I want to willing give control of my mind and do horrible actions without my mind to keep me in check? You making the decision to do that is already giving the priority to desires over what is morally correct. I want to make sure I keep myself chaste for my future spouse. It was very simple. In the same way I would be protective of my future spouse from haram involvement. In Grade 12 I ended up listening to the stories of the prophets at some point when I could no longer avoid questions I wanted answers to (I had planned to finish high school and look into it, this plan from the very 1st year of high school). I had felt overburdened by the problems I am seeing in society. Like, I would do in-depth responses to societal issues for ELA and it left me sad seeing people get misguided into harm. Transgenderism: why are we telling people the only way to love them is to embrace their delusion? Why not correct in a loving way? Would you hate your child if you told them you can't physically fly if you flap your hands when they tried to jump out a balcony? Is it love to correct their thinking or love to embrace their delusion? We were also talking about harmful gender roles in society at one point. How men are not as caring because they are taught it is weakness to express emotions. Critical race theory: why are we combating racism with institutional racism when I experienced in my childhood how simple values of love and respect, that we should play with them and treat them how we want to be treated regardless of how they look? If people like me who were growing up with far lesser tribalism and racism in their hearts become adults, being able to maintain this (it's harder in high school now that people could choose friend groups), then they can hire people and create connections based on the person, not the perceived stereotypes of the race (the racism). People try to rush it but they are doing injustice or they are overlooking injustice in the process. Almost no one bats an eye when a racist joke about a white person is made in a very mixed group by high school as we learn history. And sometimes, they are better than us when it comes to racism! Why are we hating them for being born white when we could have been white if Allah had willed? Did you or they chose our families? There is more to say, but hopefully dealing with these logical arguments can change your heart on matters. The thing is, our mind and ability to perceive is what affects our emotions. You can be taught to love something that is bad for you. The same way you can learn to love something that is good for you. I learned about how martyrs will have a sweet smell on the Day of Judgement and also about how the breath of the fasting person is beloved to Allah. That helped me to realize when people think "I look bad in a hijab" or "I look bad with a beard", it is not about our perceptions. It is about how Allah sees it. For in the afterlife, the most beautiful will be those who were closest to Allah (SWT). So I asked Allah to help me love what He loves. Wallahi, it took months but when I look back at my face before a beard, even though I had less pores on my face and stuff and my hairstyle was better, I look worse to myself! I also started finding women in a hijab beautiful and now my criteria for marriage has internally changed. I also had a crush on someone before in a way I never have since. If I were to describe it, it would not sound flattering. Like her face is a bit more lean on one side. It is not symmetrical. I knew my friend group and I found it incredible that I was the only one that found her the most beautiful out of anyone I have seen. And I had no intention in "falling in love" btw. I thought that was stupid and would happen in university or something. I even thought it was a sin, but it drew me to notice her character. Anyway, the reason I am sharing these details is that Allah may put love and make your spouse more attractive to you than anyone else. Don't feel too insecure brothers and sisters and focus on taking care of your character and your relationship with Allah. Also take care of your body, but don't dress in a way "to attract". You know how people have beautiful dresses or suits in a celebration? Do we think they would like better in a t-shirt and shorts with more skin showing? My advice to women and men, but specifically women, is to dress according to the sunnah. Your spouse will love the part of you that no one else can gets to see. That doesn't mean you suddenly look ugly for hiding your beauty. And when you think about it, Allah is the Bestower. We are not more smart or beautiful, or wealthy, or even-tempered, etc., by our own merits. Rather they are a trust from Allah and the hereafter we will be compensated absolutely fairly. The one who is closest to Allah is the most beautiful of us, the most smart, and they will be the richest in wealth in the hereafter. Do these sound too cheesy to you? Perhaps you need to refresh your imaan by remembering why Islam is true. Go to people of knowledge and ask Allah for guidance, that is the greatest way to success. Allah's ability to guide is far greater than any falsehood out there. When my doubts were dealt with, I was so grateful it felt absolutely incredible. I knew I made a very sincere dua for guidance and I recognized that as perhaps the best decision/action of my life. I made the dua that I want all my Muslim brothers and sisters and those seek guidance, to make the same dua that I am making. I was in doubt if a dua of such a scale would be accepted by Allah although I knew he could do it. From me? And Wallahi, that moment I read Surah Fatihah with its meaning I was in absolute shock and wonder... I had been reading this type of dua my entire life EVERY TIME I made salah and I HAD NO IDEA!... Inshallah it will affect me for the rest of my life. Oh Allah please protect us and rectify our affairs and guide us. Ameen! As-salamu alaikum
