I even noticed that he said that an employee was out sick, but didn't have any unmet needs... which implies they are cognizant of the needs of employees when they *aren't* on the clock, too.

Having worked in both my self working in a hospital your a number. Especially when you’re living and doing everything for 24 or 48 hours (depending on department you work for). The fire department and police department are a lot tighter than working in a hospital. Not trying to start anything but when working in police and fire departments it’s cause something is bad is happening. When in the hospital you’re usually in a safe, regulated environment. And if it’s not you call….? Typical answer is hospital public safety, that’s the hospital’s police, and usually they’re the ones calming down and protecting both sides.

I am a former 9-1-1 Dispatcher who worked for a rural North Tennessee county from, 2013 to 2021. I hung up my headset because I turned 62 and decided I was too old to keep doing dispatch. I am very impressed with this video presentation! I especially love that your dispatch center actually has WINDOWS! The one I worked in didn't have a single window. I appreciate what you and all 9-1-1 dispatchers do!

I am an EMT working 911 and critical patient transports in Columbus, GA. I am very impressed with how she handled giving instructions for the medical calls that she answered. I promise not all dispatchers handle that so well! While we are all working for 24 hours straight and can sometimes get frustrated at one another, I love my dispatchers like siblings. Great Job to these dispatchers for giving great instruction over the phone and with making sure that the medics and firefighters can do their job as efficiently and effectively as possible!

there's always comments in other videos about the lack of sympathy or urgency in the voice of dispatchers but we have to realize they need to transmit calmness to the caller and even for their own sake they have to stay calm to be able to think clearly. this one really portrays it!
