This is my favorite vehicle on the channel now 100%. Need a locker or 2 and its gonna be unstoppable. Trevor's a big 4x4 guy now and I'm luving it!! Awesome family time too!

Btw not a jeep guy at all but I'm excited for this series. It looks like a fun off-road rig and it's very relatable to the average viewer I feel. Nice work.

I used to like jeeps never owned one but dang they suck sooooo bad

Imma put you on game. Jeeps with the 4.0 have a aisin ax/a340. Yes they have a derivative of a Toyota Supra trans. Which means if you have a a340e bell and tq converter/flex plate you can jz swap these jeeps super easy. 2jz 4x4 big single spinning 35s like no one’s business.

So, since this is a cherokee and has an A series trans, bolt a jz bellhousing on it and put a 1jz vvti in it that way you have super good torque at a low rpm. Cha Ching, profit!

I can tell this is your first xj it will cold start right up if you fkick the key a couple times befire starting 😂😂😂😂 that rod on the transfer case is aftermarket it's cable from factory they work super good when adjusted properly

Hey Trevor. You need to put a lsd in the front axle, its open, hence the spinning one wheel. Its sending all the power (that goes forward) to the wheel thats turning the easiest.

@motionautotv Get the Azzy's design 4wd linkgage. i put it on my XJ and it goes into 4wd hi and lo like freaking butter. the oem 4wd linkgages are junk, and always bind up/pop out of gear

It won't go bc it won't plant the tires it just bounces around plus you can air those tires down to like 18... LS swap it.. but not any LS use a 6.0 or 6.2 truck motor to get that torque

The suspension bouncing out of control doesn't help with traction , half the time the tires weren't even on the ground .

4x4 linkage is not connected. mine backs the bolt out even w a nylon nut and locktite idky.

You need a locker for your front to lock in there locking hubs to just put it in 4x4

Also that front locker jf there is one in it is not working. It looks like a front open diff.

You don’t have lockers in the front or rear axle. The lockers you keep referring to are just locking hubs. They don’t lock the differential.

They’re not diff locks, they just lock the hubs, diff will still send power to what ever wheel it wants

Swapped tanks in a ieep like this about three weeks ago… wasn’t bad.. but that sock was nasty as well! What about those trailer brakes!? Edit was that an extra deep socket!? Would have been nice… 🙄

If it has lockers in it, get them working about 15 to 10 pounds of air in the tires and it will go out that

Um, locking hubs is not a locker. Locking hubs only allow the wheel to go into free spin or lock into the axle. The front diff is still open.if you want it to lock it will cost about what the jeep cost for a good one. Weld the rear axle will def help some as it's open 2. Getting the rears moving would be a better start with a mig posi or any ofvthe other options. Front axle after.

Definitely needs shocks the front end bouncing like that is only good for breaking axels…….. and if it has lockers didn’t look like they was working at all if it don’t you should add some if your planning on off-roading it…….. everything else is because it’s a jeep 😂
