To say, the title is misleading. The kid isn't shaming his mother, but he teaches her a lesson on respect and not to bully the poor maid. Great job to Kevin for standing up to Martha. All that money but she can't buy common sense
Kevin's nerve to snap at his mother was something to be proud of. He defied her fair and square. Just because Mrs. Richardson is rich doesn't give her the right to treat poor Martha like a slave, no matter how poor she is or where she comes from. And calling it a joke doesn't make it harmless! And it doesn't make it okay to lie to a child about how the maid is hurt. Nor does it make it okay to shame foreigners for being late no matter how legitimate or excusable their reason. And children should be free to pursue their joys no matter what their parents do. That means just coming from a line of businessmen (or businesswomen) doesn't mean the child has to grow up to be one, too.

It's a really nice story but yeah, by the point the kid told the mom off that was the moment I'm like: "This isn't real. This is actors - it's played up for the video". Like that level of genuine openness after the kid mouthed up to his mom would just NOT happen IRL - I just know from experience. Like if I ever spoke up to my parents/grandmother growing up (my grandmother was very much EXACTLY like this kid's mother btw, but worse) I would'a gotten hit with the "You shut up and do as your told or else you little unlovable shit! If you don't fall in line we'll disown you and stop loving you!" That shit kept me silent and reserved for so long growing up it's like just ACTUALLY baked into my personality at this point - whether I want it to be or not.
Given the way she treated *"Martha"* throughout the video, I wouldn't be so forgiving if I were her. If I was *"Kevin",* I would've screamed at his mother *"I hate you!* as loud as I could, and run out the door, and not return.
people like kevin we need more kids like that amazing
Thank you guys for making these inspirational videos, they make me cry and improve my character. THANKYOU
I really respect the kid telling his mother to show much more respect for the maid. Later the mother learn the sacrifice waiting 12 hours to get a famous author to sign the book for the kid birthday gift 🎁

@@amylee8969 and food, water, shelter, and more the rich mom gives her son better survival conditions, which nearly guarantees long term survival. this is key in evolution and the little game we call life. If the housekeeper has no money which is required for a good survival condition in modern society then she isn’t going to be generally beneficial.
