I'm sure one day, that little boy will be a successful writer. Although this is just a skit and just acting, things like the one shown in the video can happen in the real world.

Kevin's nerve to snap at his mother was something to be proud of. He defied her fair and square. Just because Mrs. Richardson is rich doesn't give her the right to treat poor Martha like a slave, no matter how poor she is or where she comes from. And calling it a joke doesn't make it harmless! And it doesn't make it okay to lie to a child about how the maid is hurt. Nor does it make it okay to shame foreigners for being late no matter how legitimate or excusable their reason. And children should be free to pursue their joys no matter what their parents do. That means just coming from a line of businessmen (or businesswomen) doesn't mean the child has to grow up to be one, too.

It's a really nice story but yeah, by the point the kid told the mom off that was the moment I'm like: "This isn't real. This is actors - it's played up for the video". Like that level of genuine openness after the kid mouthed up to his mom would just NOT happen IRL - I just know from experience. Like if I ever spoke up to my parents/grandmother growing up (my grandmother was very much EXACTLY like this kid's mother btw, but worse) I would'a gotten hit with the "You shut up and do as your told or else you little unlovable shit! If you don't fall in line we'll disown you and stop loving you!" That shit kept me silent and reserved for so long growing up it's like just ACTUALLY baked into my personality at this point - whether I want it to be or not.

Given the way she treated *"Martha"* throughout the video, I wouldn't be so forgiving if I were her. If I was *"Kevin",* I would've screamed at his mother *"I hate you!* as loud as I could, and run out the door, and not return.

Mrs. Richardson was awful. How can she make racist statements about immigrants when nearly every person at her son’s party were either immigrants or descended from them? Also telling Martha to wear something nice to the party when her outfit was just ok? Really, lady. It’s a shame when a person has to be called out, shamed and school by their own child. Martha is such a good and kind person to forgive her.

The kids clearly reading off the que card, the mother goes from a Stephen King Villain to doing a complete U-turn thanks to her kid saying just a few badly scripted words.. and she goes from abusing her maid to being her best friend in one day? WHAT?! This is.. just hilarious. And she waited 12 hours in line to see Stephen King? HOW? Did she not sleep? I thought she was a slave to this woman?
