Watching this with my black cat on my lap. Edit: I'm allergic to cats. Ask me if that's a deterrent. Go on, ask me. 😏

There is - or used to be - milk specially formulated for cats. Sainsbury's supermarket used to sell it.

I hate the American habits of de-clawing cats, and washing them with water. Ughh!

That whole thing about cats stealing breath - yeah, that's something based on actual cat behaviour in my experience. No, I don't know of any first-hand stories of peoples' babies being smothered by cats...all I know is that several cats I've known personally have been obsessive about sleeping ON MY HEAD. And if I'm laying flat on my back, that's most likely going to result with them sprawling across my face...close enough to be interpreted as trying to "steal my breath." I don't know why they do this, but IME, they just...do.

I know a family with five cats and children. They attached a metal grate over the crib in order to make sure there would be no issues. Funnily enough, the cats liked the grate for some reason and would lay on it even when no babies were around. Once the kids were old enough to turn and twist in their sleep, the cats were allowed to the bed. The cats slept more politely with kids than their parents. I personally think it's because the kids moved so much in their sleep. The cats got accidentally kicked and squished. Adults had to watch out for facefull of hair, though... So I think the answer is both yes and no?

Cat's can not 'steal your breath' that is literally an insane claim. Do you believe in leprechauns too? smh I have had dozens of cats and fosters and not one ever slept ON my head. That wouldn't be remotely comfortable for them or even realistically physically possible! SMMFH - Maybe BESIDE your head, because your head is WARM. But get real, your claim is nonsense.
