One of my two best friends wanted real dreads very badly but everyone talked her out of it because her hair is too fine and short. So I decided to make her synthetic dreads for Christmas this year, and I'm sending her this video as part of her present! I love all of these styles especially the braided ones!! SHE BETTER DO THEM

I wish people would acknowledge the fact that vikings(aka the norse) were well know to have dreadlocks, as well as native Americans. Dreadlocks have been sported in many cultures not just one. If you want dreadlocks, get them, everyone else can grow up.

How many dreads are in your hair. I have trichotillomania, a disorder where I uncontrollably pull out my own hair, and I am planning on getting synthetic dreads to help prevent the pulling. Due to my condition and because I love the style, my haircut is similar to yours, But with a little more of the back shaved. I love your style sooo much and you are so pretty, I could just die!!!.

Did you end up getting synths? Did it help your trich? I'm thinking of doing it for the same reasons!

Why do we go to such lengths to keep someone from enjoying a hairstyle? A HAIRSTYLE. She's wearing them just as they are intended to be worn. She's not sporting freaking black face with it. I want and need social justice just as much as any sensible person, but when we spend so much time shaming someone for respectfully using things from other cultures, it dilutes the issues that we really need to be focusing on. This is not comparable to wearing an Indian headdress as a COSTUME or exploiting something cultural and meaningful. If we can't share things from other cultures, life will be incredibly dull.

I have the same hair as this, except my de dreads are blue, pink and 2 types of purple, and I don't have my sideburns. I've only had my de's in for a day, I'm still getting used to the weight. Can't wait to be able to do more than a ponytail or bun though haha. This colour really suits you!

Your hair friggin rocks. I'm in the process of growing out a pixie, but the meds I'm on make my hair thin and/or just fall out (one of the many "blessings" of rheumatoid arthritis) that I'm about to just have it cut pixie style again just to save the hassle.
