    Thank you very much for the video! Gotta sponge up every atom of info prior to starting myself. Also, I'm just going to follow because this is the most calming voice I've heard in years. Probably shallow thinking but it's just much easier to listen and pay attention to.

    Hahahahaha ;) you got me. But it’s true that feeling of being super exposed really gets ya in the beginning. Eventually I just got used to being in the wide open and having a tinted visor helps somewhat to have some element of privacy lol.

    Ive never ridden, but since the only thing to hold onto is the the handlebars which one of is the throttle, wouldn't the acceleration force you to yank the throttle? How is that controlled? Maybe thats only a problem on more powerful bikes but that seems like a big problem idk?

  • @OneSmallFavour

    @OneSmallFavour

    3 ай бұрын

    thats a great question. the right hand typically controls the throttle by twisting the grip. The thing you are describing is called "whiskey throttle" when your body moves and accidentally yanks the handlebars it causes involuntary throttle movement, which can be pretty bad. To counteract accidentally throttling most riders will use their legs to grip around the gas tank and their core muscles to keep them upright so that there really isn't that much weight resting on the handlebars. It also just comes down to practice and being able to control the throttle while going over bumps and stuff. :)

    Go to the store and get a pinlock for your visor, itll pretty much remove the fogging issue entirely

  • @OneSmallFavour

    That’s a good idea, my helmet doesn’t have the tabs for pinlock unfortunately. I found us my shaving cream inside before a cold ride helps a lot. :)

    ok im really curious but do you happen to live in washhington state? cuz the constant clouds and half wet roads w/ the trees look so much like it lol edit: holy f*uck i knew it (the license plate at the end gave it away for sure lmfao). I was getting a wired sense of deja vu and I thought i was going insane. Im also in near the seattle area and am about to pull the trigger on getting a bike soon . . . is the rain a pain or how do you do it

  • @OneSmallFavour

    @OneSmallFavour

    3 ай бұрын

    Haha 😂 ahh yes the half wet roads. The rain doesn’t bother me much anymore. I know some people don’t like getting wet and cold or riding in non-ideal conditions but for people like us living in an extremely wet state it’s just part of the experience I guess lol. The bike is perfectly capable to ride in rain:) Biggest danger is just to watch out for oil and the painted lines in the road if your leaning over and I just avoid speeding lol. That’s awesome you’ll be riding in no time, what kind of bike are you looking at :)

    @@OneSmallFavour hahaha yeah im going to get my license soon and when i asked friends and family i was told "too rainy" but yeah i'll probs get it anyway xd. Im looking at a kawasaki ninja 650 on marketplace or craigslist under 3k. (Also dont dw about the 600cc motor cycle XD Im actually not from the US and from another country and over there . . . Its alot of private farming towns for miles (like 20 km) and popo are an hour away xd. i learned a 125cc motorcycle (from my grandpa) on private property hahaha)

    @@varram3488 the ninja 650 was my first bike! I had it for a few months and really enjoyed riding it. The model I had was from 2009 and it didn’t have ABS so the first time I locked up the rear tire trying to slow down to make a turn was definitely eye opening lol. The ABS on my mt-03 is nice for riding in wet just in case something unexpected happens, granted it’s not something to rely on and learning how to brake without engaging abs is important skill lol.

    i think its possible depending on the year and mileage. I;d probably try and stay in the 600cc range though because the mt03 is not ideal for the freeways lol. ya but i dont use it much@@varram3488

  • @OneSmallFavour

    @OneSmallFavour

    yup, its a 2020 MT-03. I got it about 2 months ago and I love it for every day city riding, but it struggles to keep up on American freeways. It can go 80+mph but it is pretty gutless above 70mph. Having the extra power of a 600cc bike would definitely come in handy if you do a lot of highway riding.
